You get with your DM (Your permanent one if you're still on the development board) and let them know you want to upgrade. They will let truck assignment know your intentions. You should be on a list to upgrade anyways, especially if you're in an older truck.

They will eventually get you routed to the terminal when they got a truck ready. They do a full truck inspection on your old one, and your maintenance account will take some hits based on damage, needed PMs, etc. Tires are a big one but if you got into a truck with used tires already, you'll just be responsible for how much you wore them out, if they need to be replaced (Under 10/32nds). If you're upgrading in 90 days though, probably wont be much, if anything. Maybe just the detail cleaning costs of getting the truck made ready again.

Inspect your new, sign contracts, get permits, clean out old, get into new. Dont show up with a lot of fuel in your tanks, because if you want it transferred into the new truck it costs. And, you wont get full tanks on your upgrade, just generally enough to get you to truck stops. Best to come in on fumes.

If you get into your new truck and the fuel level is dangerously low, let them know and they will put in a few gallons to make sure you wont run out.

Also, if you show up late afternoon, dont expect to be upgraded that day, just because of the time and steps involved. Don't want to rush it anyways.

Picked up a load at Tyson At Center, Texas and now heading to Colton California Walmart. After that I will get a load going back to Georgia for some much-needed home time.

Beware I-10 in El Paso has a section closed on the weekend took over 2 hours to get off the freeway :biggrin_2552:. Did a swap with a team to get my load to Colton by 6 am tomorrow. My load now doesn’t deliver until Tuesday :biggrin_25515:. Anyone know anything about lineage cold storage in riverside? I’ve picked up from the one in Vernon.
