I felt the same way. I also was mad that I didn't have an apu. I've made money anyways. It's up and down, but it's money. High of 1500, low of, well 200. Averaging about 800 overall. My only problem is I'm about 4500 in the hole in my maintenance account and it's been all sorts of small stuff not covered by any warranty. That stuff adds up. I have the opportunity to get a new truck, but now I feel so invested in this truck that I'm hesitating.
As a business owner you should look at overhead and make the decision based on cost to run the truck you are in compared to a new one. If the one you have is causing you to spend a lot then it would be better to take the hit now then when you are 10k in the hole. Just my opinion.
Ok, this may be a silly question, but I think I read somewhere on the forums that I would need a to bring a copy of my DD214 if I am a veteran. Or, I might just have too much bug juice and sea salt in me ☺. Oh, the question you say...does JCT have veterans preference or something?
It helps for job history and I'm sure they get some kind kick back from the guberment for hiring veterans. I'm here at JBS in Santa Dr Springs, Ca and just had the yard driver ask me if I could spot a trailer for him using his truck. He is new and has no idea how to back a trailer. He can go forward just fine. So I did real quick and if I would have had the time, would have given him some training. He bought me and my daughter breakfast for the help.
Already seeing crazy 4 wheelers driving like they stole it. Had one cut from far left in front of me to get to their exit. Watch your mirrors cause to many crazies out here.
457 pages.. you guys talk way too much, especially that short guy Macho! Been a while since I was on this thread, nice to see its still going. Turned in my Cascadia (L2636G) a few weeks ago. 178k miles in just under 16 months. They decommed her with 525k on her clock and someone gonna end up with a very nice Cassie. Now in MY Prostar. LO 692.
Welcome back Keith. Congrats on getting your own truck. I'm now at the TA in Ontario, Ca for a restart. Down to about half an hour on my 70 and not recapping anything useful at midnight. Plus, now, I don't have to deal with the holiday weekend idiots.
