I terminated my lease effective 01/26/16. I'm parked in the yard now, no markings and no Qualcomm. Only thing I have left is to print out my last 7 days logs and my temp fuel permits so I can drive to Ohio without DOT hassles.

I have to agree that the pay is a big issue, it needs to come up quite a bit. That's not the reason I'm leaving though. I really need to be able to stay closer to Ohio for a while and that's simply not possible with JCT.

No regrets coming over here, in many ways it's been a great experience.

In programming and statistics is a saying; "Garbage in, garbage out". Sometimes counting beans is not as simple as.....well...counting beans.

So I just fueled at $1.45 but, only the truck since it wasn't a pfj (why wait, I'll just start now) Looking at the rest of my route it looks like the most likely reefer top off will occur at either $2.02 or $1.98. Perhaps I'm just an idiot but I don't see any savings in that strategy.

Yes, I know I said I wouldn't play that game but there are only two choices. 1)Play with their ball or 2) Go get my own ball.

Because when it comes to paying the fuel tax, the cheapest pump price isn't necessarily the cheapest net price.

We don't pay IFTA, so it is better for us to find the cash pricen price. When you pay IFTA, you're better off buying in states like Idaho and California and avoiding states like Oregon and Missouri.

True, and IFTA is not even paid for reefer fuel. Any taxes paid a the pump at the federal level is refunded. State taxes too.. Well Except in AR DE GA KY MS ND OR RI.

I'll top it off at loves today, get my last little bit of free money. At a quarter tank so will be a good amount. Then it'll be two to three spec trips to flying/pilot a week for reefer fuel. Won't be that bad. They'll have to route me to them in some situations I'm sure.
But I'll never fuel this truck there. I don't enjoy being strong armed.

Agreed I will not fuel my truck at a pfj. How exactly do they want us to fill the reefer at say we drop in LA and pick up in colton? Only fuel around there is petro or ta and three sisters.
