I gotta preface this by saying I don't work for JCT. Never have, never will. Not a slam on JCT just love my current gig and really think I'd quit drivin before working for a big outfit. I'm sort of a prima Donna lol....THAT being said I'd like to chime in on your current fuel rebate debate. I'm sure many of you know the info I'm about to throw out, but I'm gonna do it anyways.

I lease on to a small mom n pop outfit outta Green Bay; 25 or so trucks total, leased on AND company trucks. I use their fuel card and it gets deducted out of my settlement, which is what I'm assuming you guys do too. We fuel exclusively at PFJ. We are on the cost plus deal, which it sounds like JCT is on a similar deal. My outfit gives me the entire discount, tho. My receipt tells me the cash price on the pump, but my settlement deducts the discounted price. It's pretty awesome, and I love working for these guys. Thing is, I see where JCT is 'doing y'all a favor' and bumping your rebate up to .12 cents. I think my smallest discount on any settlement was for twice that. Usually as a rule of thumb I can figure on a 20% discount from cash pump price. Little food for thought about how much JCT is profiting from you guys doin the hard work. I was runnin the numbers in my head today of what they are making off you guys buyin fuel over and above what they're making from your freight and lease payments and everything else and it's fairly obscene.

I swear I'm not sayin this to tick you guys off, just wanted to throw out there what JCT is really seeing as a discount. Good luck y'all and stay safe!

Anyone ever fuel at the I-10 truckstop in Rialto, CA off exit 68? They got fuel for $1.97 today, which is good for CA. However i'm unsure if I'll be mostly buying watered down fuel there. I just need enough to make a pickup and escape this state.

PFJ must give them a huge rebate. Just because the fuel is more expensive doesnt mean it's a better quality fuel. Best fuel I ever got was out of a Hana station in Amarillo at 1.60 something a gallon. I got 8.6 mpg running to Las Vegas on that fuel.

And we are generally looking for the best deal because we have skin in the game, so in turn, they get the best deal we can find. So yeah it must be a hell of a rebate. And the Hana in Amarillo is good. I used Checkers in OKC on my way to the snowpocolypse in PA this weekend, and the fuel seemed fine and it was wayyy cheaper than anything in the area.

Snowpocolypse LoL. You aren't kidding about that. I'm glad they kept me in the Midwest and West swapping trailers with drivers to get them home. However i'm having to do a 34 because my recaps suck from all the swapping.

No wonder it's cheaper. I've never ran good on that stuff.

Bio is great for cleaning your injectors and engine but you do sacrifice a bit of fuel economy for using it

Best price I found in Cali across I-40, CA 58, CA 99 was at the EZ Trip in Fresno for $1.819

I got 7.6 MPG to Speedy's in Lupton. Extremely happy with that. Now to get 9 MPG from there to Dallas and I'll be even happier.
