It is one of the top states we go to, so getting home wouldn't be an issue. I personally used to go home each month and stay home for 5-8 days on average, not including my vacations I take for 10 - 20 days. BUT, that's me. I'm able to do that. Not every one can.
Getting home in Tampa will be a lot easier than I have it getting to Las Vegas! We go to Dover and Winterhaven all the time, along with other cities on I-4 and I-95.
About 20k out. I drive by RPM, not speed. I aim for 1150-1200 RPM, that puts me 54-58. Considering I'm in an Evo, that means I have crappy gear ratio. There are Evo drivers that hit 1100 rpm at 62 mph.
Load needed picked up right away in Memphis plus was at receiver yesterday for 14 hrs so not going home. Try to get to Phoenix yard Saturday morning for drop or repower and will put in for hometime.
Is it better to go from Memphis to Phoenix along I40 to AZ and hit south AZ route 77 or to go I30 to I20 to I10?
Well, this sucks. Found out yesterday that my truck is not pulling fuel from the right side tank. I have 100 gallons in there I cannot use. The fuel cutoff for the tank is open, but fuel is not flowing. Told Keith about it and that I can pickup on time, but I need to go down the Sapulpa yard to have it fixed. Which means it has to be repowered. They didn't give enough time on this load for anything to go wrong. It probably should be a team run. They scheduled Stockton,CA for Sun at 0630. Keith acted all butt hurt about (over the Qualcomm) and said he will pass it on to Dilbert, and that we did not deadhead a truck 580miles for the load to be late. Then he left for the day. This sucks cause I don't want to give up this run, but at the same time, it will be late running on one tank.
