I'm assuming it was a brake fire that spread to the tires. You'd figure he'd see the smoke from the brakes and stop before the tires caught. It was parked perfectly in a parking spot too. Part of me thinks he/she didn't even notice till after they parked.

I might be wrong, but I believe fire is one of the things you are suppose to look for on a post-trip.

    Kamkor Thanks this.

Got to Sapulpa Friday late a.m. Wrote the trailer up for one specific item, ONE. LFI tire. Was ok when I picked it up but knew it would need to be replaced by the time I got to Sapulpa.

Trailer goes into shop within an hour. No biggie, deliver next day in Ochelata. Spent the rest of day conversing with management and VP about stuff. By 5 p.m. The trailer is out and parked in loaded lot somewhere. Chill out rest of day, go to Wal-Mart to get some Rx refilled, etc.

Get up at 4 a.m. for a 6 a.m. delivery. Hook up to trailer, half the trailer lights are out. WTF. Wiggle pig tail, check the pins, nothing. Walk to guard shack and speak to road service about my problem. Tells me shop will be in at 6 a.m. Duh! Go into dispatch and tell Chuck situation. Not much anyone can do at this point, load is gonna be late.

Shop comes in at 6, tell then what happened and jump right on it. 1 hour later problem fixed. Wire harnesses burnt up, wires burned, light holder melted..... Still no lights. Turns out the trailer popped the fuses on my truck. Finally get done.

At this point, Ron is already in. He sez Wal-Mart knows and to go on up there. I get about 10 miles from Wal-Mart and Sterling calls me and tells me Wal-Mart called and rescheduled for next day and to come back cuz they won't take it.

Figured I'll go on in since I'm practically there and play dumb. Guard checks with CTO manager and he sez nope. I get the door open of guard shack and he already called back and told guard to let me in. Wow, it worked. No door but I'm in.

Finally get a door, go to chock wheels and I notice that the same tire is still on my trailer. Went to right side of trailer and see 2 new tires. Idiots did wrong side. Called Twitch and asked him to double check RO in case I accidentally wrote it up incorrectly. Nope, and the printed RO also sez LFI tire. He checked the tire sheet and mechanic noted that he replaced the R/S tires even tho it said LEFT.
Called Ron and told him situation and he wants me to come back and get another trailer. No biggie, more miles.I'm out of Wal-Mart in 4 hours from when I get there after I'm already 2.5 hours late for appt. I'm there less time then I usually am when I get there on time! Go figure.

Get back and let Twitch know I'm back and he said to back it in now and take care of it. Told Ron I'll keep it now cuz they jumped right on it and I'll just drop it in Noel. Get my Tyson load next morning and the ######## put it right back on the trailer I dropped. FML

I'll be home 2moro for a couple of weeks...thank goodness.

I'd settle for priority loading and unloading myself. In and out within an hour.

Do any of you guys with the paccar mx13's use fuel treatment? I haven't been, and my fuel mileage sucks no matter what speed I do. I mean 6.8 to 7.4 no matter what speed I do.
