You think you have it bad. I waited 24 hours to pick up a load in Tulare CA that was 168 miles away going to the Dallas area. It picked up Thursday afternoon doesn't deliver until Tuesday morning. They won't let me drop it in the Fort Worth yard because they have no freight because of the Holiday weekend. This is my only load for the week and I'll end up with a 300 dollar settlement because of it. Last week I broke down with fuel leak so I'll have a 250 dollar settlement this Wednesday.

Admittedly I probably should have diverted to the Phoenix yard and tried to drop it there. Maybe a better chance of getting freight Friday then today.

Anyways, sitting in a hotel room and relaxing until delivery time.

I just ran at 78000 gvw and averaged 10.6 mpg over 600 miles. Through the mountains on I40 from Cali to Flag I averaged 8. I was shocked. These numbers are from the QC not the readout and my gas gauge is actually reflecting the fuel savings. It's a nice change of pace to not have my gas gauge drop like a lead block every 200 miles. I'm showing half a tank after 600 miles and I started with 3/4 of a tank. I ran at an even 61 mph the entire way.

I don't trust the Qualcomm for numbers just because it likes to reset so it can inflate mpg. I wanted a few thousand miles over several days on the trip meter to get a good average.

Naw, the shop will charge me to install. I'll go to Flow Below HQ and get it installed for free. Now that's forward thinking. LOL

So I was thinking... (Dangerous I know)....

Since I'm not fancy like Steel and have Flow Below...I thought about those covers that Schnider and some others use. You know the kind, With the cut out at the hub. I watched an install video of them, and you can put them on a wheel in 15 seconds with no tools....and I figure any little bit helps...

So then...I thought further....and if you get an extra 4 covers...and its easy to install and remove...I wonder if it would be worth it to put them on whatever trailer you're hauling, since we keep our trailers for a good long while. Then take them off when you drop your trailer.
