I've got some minor speed bumps of my own (APU has an engine fault and there's oil pooled on it), but wanting to avoid mechanical issues is why I went for a truck that had no letter designation. Minimal other drivers often translates to minimal abuse.
It's all about priorities, really. If reliability is the #1 concern, sometimes the cool factor has to take a back seat. I hate Freightshakers personally, but my 780 can wait until I get this thing paid off and I can afford to buy the truck I want with all the bells & whistles. -

The letter on the truck is D. A and B were less than a month apart based on the inspection sheets that I found in the truck. Later I found out C was terminated. According to KW the in service date was Sept 25 2012. -
Ouch PA42/54 that'd be epic stupidity in bad weather. Hell 61 isn't good in snow either.

thanks for the replies so far. lots of good info.
couple more. who here has finished out a lease with JCT? how long have you guys been with them on average? If you decide to swap out your truck for a new one before the lease is up do you get some kind of credit for it or are you just starting over? if they're handing you the title at the end of lease you would have some equity in thetruck at that point, it should prorate if you trade up to a new lease I would think. -
I'm not there yet but I've followed this and its preceding thread since the beginning. Terry or others can correct me if I get it wrong.
If you trade up to a new truck before the end of the lease you lose any equity in the old truck. But at the end of the lease you pay your $1 its yours. In the other thread there was a guy who finished the lease and sold the truck then leased another.
Also if I understand it, you choose from available units at orientation and can swap out after 90 days. If I got a truck that had mechanical issues or wasn't getting the MPG it should I'd drop it like a bad habit.
