Well, I took a 34 hour restart before delivering in Portland. Ran the book as tight as I could to get to Jubitz early enough. Ultimately I threw away 2.75 hours from my recap to grab my restart. Then I got loaded yesterday in Kent Wa. 39k frozen pies. I made the mistake of opening my mouth and telling my wife I would swing by the house Saturday afternoon before I realized there was a 2nd stop in Corinne Ut scheduled for Friday night. That would have messed my time through the house up. However, I ran it like I was to deliver today and when I got here I called to see if I could bring it in early. worked!!! Now I will be heading through the house right back on schedule, then down to McDonough. Any week I can take half a day or more at home and finish out with 2900 miles is a decent week. Bonus, I will still have hours to grab a few more miles Tuesday before I close out my week!

It's good to hear that your visit went so well. JCT has improved quite a bit in the last two years since I got here. Yes, they still have a way to go, but right now I wouldn't drive for anybody else.DenaliDad Thanks this. -
Awesome TCxl!

Any of you JCT drivers that are dispatched to p/u Universal Frozen Food in Pasco, WA....UFFger exists. It i now Lamb Weston / Con Agra Foods. Also, make sure you call ahead determine how many pallets you need to purchase. I didn't get this info on my load assignment, so I just drove straight to the shipper last night and took my 10 hr break. I had to go get the pallets this morning (appt was for 10:30), which started my 14 hr clock. By the time they got me loaded I hadjust about 8 hrs left to drive today. Funny thing though...they loaded me to scale out at 79980...without me in the truck. I know I weigh more than 20 lbs...so had them cut some. Oh well....I'm on my way now though. And I sent dispatch a message to try and avoid another driver having any of these issues.

Got loaded last night in Greeley, CO toward the end of this load's ready window, made it about 130 miles to Limon, CO before shutting down. Today though, wow: did 674 miles, shutdown 100 miles west of Saint Louis with 18min left on my 11hrs, and 47min left on the 14! That included (2) 30min breaks and a fuel stop. (When I saw a Petro with Qdoba, man I just had to stop!)
Almost slipped through KC like p##p through a goose, but it was more like a slightly constipated goose... now only 1100 to go in 2 days, early Sunday stop in Orlando, then final Monday near Daytona, then home!
I am ready to hit the pillow now!Last edited: Nov 15, 2013
