I don't know what's happening lately, but I've been snagging some great driving weather! I had a light tail wind all day, and I ran from Lordsburg to Sweetwater at 7.8 mpg. This load scaled out at 78k too. After a west-bound trip with no spare time, it's nice to be on this one. I have less than 900 miles to go and two days to get there.

The other day my Scangauge woke up on the fritz. The data was looking pretty corrupt. I drove with it like that until I looked at the manual and found out how to do a factory reset. Seconds later all was well. RTFM indeed!

Joker85, I'll look for you! Does anyone know if you can get on the fla-turnpike, pull into a service plaza and buy a sunpass, the one for commercial use? I know they sell them in there, just not sure about the commercial one.
Only made 503 miles today, 2 big traffic jams in TN, then heavy fog climbing Monteagle; I'm done... took 5 or 6 pull ups to back into the last space here, due to the space-eating b###h on my right. He was even sittng in the drivers seat watching me struggle the whole time without offering to help, then shoots me a nasty look of contempt... I wanted to tell him, "Why the look, it was your expert park job that made me take so long!" Thank God the guy on my left hugged the curb, and only has a 28ft pup trailer!
603 miles to go tomorrow, has to go better than today...

Turbo, why would you get the Florida sun pass? JCT will reimburse your tolls if they are turned in with the perspective trip, not sure about being reimbursed on a monthly basis.

I thought it would be worth it not to have to stop and pay, just breeze through, and I'm not sure but thought some exits were sun pass only, no cash? I will check it out today/ tonight when I get there. Thanks Terry!

They're even redoing the front lobby! By the way, if you're interested in visiting, do NOT go to the gate; beyond it is where the trucks and trailers park. The building on the left before the gate is the headquarters, so go there. Park in the parking lot and walk in. The nicest lady in the world sits at the front desk and she will help you!

    Sharpp and DADof3 Thank this.

And, of course, now that you've published those words, your good weather days will be behind you. It's Murphy's Law, you know.

PS. I did mention your name to Joanne and Jennifer.

    Sharpp Thanks this.

I did some helicopter flying at the airport in Greeley a million years ago and flew over the JBS stockyards outside the city many times. They just seemed to go on and on and on for miles and miles. And so did the odor, even at 9,000 feet.

Is JCT going mostly with freightliners these days? I was looking on their website and I know they still use the kw t660's but I also really like the pete 386's and just curious if anyone runs one of them or if they saw any of them in the lineup when they are there?
