Thanks, Drew352, I trained on a Home Depot acct and ran all over FL, it does get crazy sometimes, especially now that it's snowbird season!

I'm not a big fan of the PACCAR engine. I had one on a lease as a tester for the LTL outfit I'm at, a new 2013 Pete daycab. Great riding truck but under the hood it was a wiring nightmare.
In less than 15k the DPF w DEF was so clogged it couldn't regen and had to be completely replaced. The computers were updated every few weeks and always had to be tweeked. One of the idler pulleys broke and they had to pull the front end off to change it. That aside it was a good riding and looking truck. -
No recruiters were online so I sent JCT and email asking them about medical insurance. That's really the last thing really big thing I need to get sorted.

As a separate business owner you are going to have to provide your own medical insurance, you will be expected to do all of your own finances and whatever else a real business owner does, I think they file your IFTA which is a good thing, But I guess they would be as responsible as you would be if it was messed up. This is a business affiliation, You are separate from JCT you are their sole co tractor source (X 850) that hauls their loads with the truck you are buying and their trailer.

Got here in Clanton, Alabama this afternoon despite some truck troubles. I'm losing coolant somewhere. I isolated the APU coolant lines but the leak persists. A thorough look under the hood didn't show me anything that I could tighten or stick a wad of gum over, so after my delivery in the morning, I'm headed up to the Birmingham Freightliner.
Hopefully this setback won't last too long. I've been on a good roll lately and I hate to lose momentum! -
Ur better off signing up for Obama Care. Will be cheaper than getting an actual policy , as rates have went thru roof cause Obama Care is going into affect
DenaliDad Thanks this. -

As long as its Obamacare compliant it still keeps the door open. I priced private coverage in '08 when I did local hot shot contractor work before the '08 crash and they wanted 11-1200/mo for medical and dental. It was pretty good coverage, don't remember the details, but I'd hate to see what that'd cost now...
