anyone got a list of cheap state to fuel up in?
-
Missouri, Oklahoma and southern Georgia off the top of my head...
-
Prices change on a daily basis.....there are a number of smartphone apps we/guys on this thread use.... Love's, TA, DAT, etc.... Safe travels.
-
This because of the taxes, or not, the states with less state taxes charge less for the fuel! for the most part.
-
Also IN, SC, and OR assuming your company pays the taxes like JCT.

Sharpp,
I'm set up for orientation Dec. 30th for JCT. Recruiter called the other day to see how things were going here. Then I called Dennis to see how JCT is going for him, and I decided I needed a piece of the pie!Soule_Man Thanks this. -
Congrats and welcome to the Dark side. LOL j/k
I am here in El Paso, Tx headed to Cali. for a Friday delivery. I have met some great people from JCT out on the road and still love it here. If anyone sees me out on the road be sure to come say HI. -
Glad to hear it! I always thought that with your home location, JCT would be a good fit. Dennis is doing well as are several other new drivers on here. Talk with you soon!

It's Wednesday, and that means another settlement report in the email this morning. I made out unusually well this week. That means next week will definitely suck! There was an extra trip that made it on the sheet which brought my total miles up to 3,978. I've been runnning pretty hard, but not THAT hard! I got charged for 510 gallons of fuel, so my billed fuel economy was 7.8 mpg. That doesn't bode well for next week either! I had a nice week that week averaging around 7.4 mpg, so I picked up a few bucks on this check.
Bottom line is $2,008. My next settlement won't be so nice, lol. I think that there's a good chance that this trip that I'm on is trade bait. I only have about 475 miles to go for a Friday morning appointment. Vikingswen on here noted that JCT rules I-40, lol, so I'm expecting that someone on this slab with short hours hauling chicken to Calif will need this shorty and let me stretch my legs tomorrow. I'll send my DM a note in the morning to let her know that I'm up for a swap and ready to burn off some of these new-found hours. An added bonus is that if I get the swap, then this load will make it on the next settlement.
This Sterilite scales out at just over 11k pounds. NO, I didn't scale it, lol. I can't even feel it back there. It's nice to be light sometimes.
