Running with JCT

I read on Facebook that they are bring in some other types of trucks too.... Just no Volvo's yet. Good Luck.

 

Had a minor change of plans on this trip. The company called me this afternoon to see if I'd be willing to do a swap to help out a driver. I always do, so we met up in Little Rock and I found myself heading for Kansas City, KS. This deal was sweetened with a pre-plan from Olathe, KS to Las Vegas; a load that I'm not totally sure that I have the hours to do, but I appreciate the effort. The problem with this load is that it was impossible to make the 01:00 Friday appointment. JCT says that they're working on it, so I'm hoping for an 09:00 or later (Fri) appointment.

With all the miles and hours that I've run this week, I'm not too concerned. I have 13 hours available for Friday and Saturday, so I'm going to be doing some sitting somewhere!

 

Staying at the Tyson Hilton tonight in Rogers, AR. Last night we stayed on the road behind the Family Dollar DC in Duncan OK. We are on our way back to FL for home time, we will have been out 5 weeks by the time we see our house again. Might even have enough time to dig out my little Christmas tree from the box in the garage and plug it in! Looking forward to going to the beach, wearing sandals instead of my trucker boots, and sleeping in the quiet at night in a king size bed. And brushing my teeth in a private bathroom. Homesick? Yes.

You and Tim stay in touch on your way to Florida, maybe we can meet for a cup of coffe. I'm headed to lake city then down to west palm beach where I will stay until after the new year.
