    A belated congrats on your 1 year anniversary w/JCT (round 2) Sharpp! I'm back at reading the thread again tonight...so addictive. I can't help but think maybe JCT should make reading this thread a requirement for new L/P candidates, I imagine it really could make the difference between making it and breaking it (IMHO). I know I am thankful I found the thread, and appreciate all the "regulars" that contribute here as well. BTW, where are your fav Thai and BBQ joints in Vegas/Hendo? Thanks again!

    Sharpp, I can't wait to "see" (read) if you made the 13,500...I'm rootin' 4 ya!!!

    The one year DOT had me think of a question, if you happen to know, and don't mind my asking, how is JCT about working with drivers that may have sleep apnea (CPAP, BIPAP) issues?

    Thank you! I try to keep my posts interesting and informative. It would probably be helpful for any potential JCT driver to read through this thread. I started it to document the way that I run a successful L/P, and I'm grateful that so many other JCT drivers have jumped in here to add new perspectives to the JCT experience.

    Now for the really important stuff! My favorite BBQ joint used to be across from the South Point casino. There was a little hole in the wall there that served a "sampler" which was several pounds of ribs, brisket, turkey, ham, sausage and maybe a few others, lol. I would pick up one of those on my way home from the poker room, and the three of us at my house would eat on it for a few days! Apparently, my going over the road was too much of a hardship for them to bear, and they went belly up.

    There are two great BBQ places on the south side that I like now: Lucille's at Green Valley Ranch, and Memphis BBQ off of Warm Springs. Both of these places have great food, although they are a lot "dressier" than I usually look for in a BBQ joint.

    Sad to say that I haven't had Thai food in Henderson at all. I can't even find a really good Chinese restaurant in my neighborhood! We had take out from China A Go Go on Christmas Eve, and it was pretty good, but not exceptional. Spring Mountain is the best area for Asian food. It's basically the Vegas version of Chinatown, and I've had great Chinese, Filipina, and Thai food there.

    Now you've done it! I'm in Georgia craving some Asian cuisine, lol. I'm picking up a load for Dallas this morning, so I better reboot and start thinking about some red beans and rice. . . Yum!

    Well I sent in my application after finding my resume. LoL That E-signature is a pain in the butt to make even half way readable. So now I guess it's the waiting game to see what they say.

    Riders are allowed from day one. Spouses, significant others and children. Ages of children have changed over the years so I would suggest verifying with recruiting. I believe 7-13 with another adult on the truck and 13 and older on their own. Not allowed during the child's routine school year( no homeschooling from the truck year round).

    That must suck, getting pulled over for an inspection in your own 'hood. Glad you fared it well. TrukTuff had mentioned 2012 Cascadias had a problem with cracking/leaking windshield washer reservoirs. (I'm still a few months back in the thread so maybe this issue with you is resolved in the "future"...lol)

    I know you don't seem to get home much Sharpp, but have you been to the Galaxy Green Valley Luxury Plus Theater? I hear they even serve beer on tap there! I have been to the one at the Cannery in NLV and the seats are not just "reclining", but actually recliners...thick, plush and comfortable. I've heard GV is even more luxurious. It'll definitely spoil ya...lol.

    What part of Georgia are you reloading in?I live in south Georgia and have been thinking about JCT.I know jct use to pull loads out of Brunswick,Ga.
