Ya know..... if you just go to their website and plug some numbers into the spreadsheet, you might actually find some information out that may help you..... or make you look like a corn-nut, since it's painfully obvious you have ZERO clue what you are talking about. What's wrong, CB broken? No chance for "CB Rambo" tonight in the truck stop?

Unless you have been in every lease then this statement is pure opinion based on... not a darn thing.

Whats up with the questions? I have opinions too but if I present one as fact I try to have some sort of idea what I'm talking about so I don't look like I'm completely ignorant of the subject.

Do you walk into new restaurants and tell the owners they should buy the land and building because leasing one is setting them up to fail? How about home buyers doing a land contract purchase? For the record 1 in 4 restaurants fail in the first year, 3 in 5 within 3 years. Two biggest causes of failure are poor business practices and overestimating the demand. Guess what the biggest cause of failure in trucking is... poor business practices. Unless you can tell me how buying a tractor outright prevents that cause of failure then you have no argument. If someone decides to try leasing and they don't do their homework and pick a good business partner then they are guilty of poor business practices and deserve to fail. I could post a list of local former O/O's who lost their rears because they suck at business and all of them OWNED the tractor.

FROM "Running with JCT" PAGE ONE, POST #1:

". . .I terminated my lease and turned in my truck. Just like a company driver. No credit ding no hassles. After a few weeks, JCT deposited the balance of my maintenance account, about $4,000, into my bank. The only charges were for an oil change and a detail job. They treated me fair on the job AND after I gave notice, so when I decided to go back OTR, they were an easy choice. . ."

Sharpp, stop it with the facts and buy your own truck, you know you're a failure without it. ;)
