Thank you Steve. Jennifer called me today and said that your app and experience looked fine and that she would keep me posted. Coming over to a lease operation? I hope you know what you're doing! Lol.

Really enjoy this thread, not sure about pulling reefer though. Mostly drove flatbed and dry van. But I may give them a call tomorrow though. I've been looking at lease programs for a while now, just nervous about making the leap but JTC seems like the place to do it. 2 questions: Do you know if they hire from the Buffalo NY area? and what's home time look like.

My advice...call and ask. You'll get the straight, up-to-the-minute scoop. Their hiring areas and requirements change based on what they need at the time, so what was true last week might not be true this week. It's a free call and they're the nicest people in the world. Really.

Buffalo is right on the edge of the hiring area. (http://johnchristner.com/?r=drivercareers&drv=hiringarea) You'll have to contact them to see if it's in or not. We have some new accounts that we go to in New England. I'm hoping to go to the one in Vermont myself. As for home time, if you're able to stay out for 3 or more weeks at a time it shouldn't be a problem. We go to northern Ohio and upstate New York pretty often. I can't say that I think that JCT would be ideal for you though because of your home location. But if you're flexible it should be fine. Good luck!

D-Dad You could not have said it better! I enjoyed speaking with them, I have to get some more cheeks in the seat recent experience and then I'll be over there!

Sharpp had to deliver to one of our plants in Peachtree City today and they're still some vehicle on the side of the interstate all tore up. On that note I was going home Tuesday night in my car and got within 2 miles of the house and a deer decided to commit suicide with my car. Tapped the brakes and no good on ice. Find out in the morning if it is totaled or not. Just thought it was funny that the state sent the VDOT workers to the beach to help them then we have no one to clean our roads. But my road is always last to get cleared.

That's awful! I hit a deer in Montana once. I'm pretty sure it was murder and not suicide on his mind. Hope it all works out for you.
