Last year I paid in a total on 2800.00 for the year. Keeping in mind personal write offs and situations make up a lot of that. Also helps to have a good tax preparer.

Well I am finally unloaded here at Wally world. Just over 4 hrs from gate to gate. They need to work on that. But at least it wasn't as bad as I have seen before. But now I am waiting for the preassign I got while sitting. Heading down to Houston after picking up tomorrow morning. But first I need to ho have trl washed out since they left about a whole pallet in the trl with the chunks of wood back there. LoL

I work out of Valdosta. If nothing changes and I go to JCT they will need someone. Good place to work but can be hard, not just driving. Some physical work as well. Thx to everyone with the info. I am leaning towards JCT but work is wanting me to stay bad. Takes a few months to get someone hired and trained. Not my problem but they are being extra nice..$$$$..:biggrin_25519:

is it fair to say that loads under 900 miles are few and far apart?

From what I understand yes. Avg is around 1400 per trip. Though my last one and tomorrows load has been over 1800 miles counting deadhead.

nice i like to run but don't really like dealing with shipper/receivers . long runs means less stress. do you have to haggle with lumpers? or does JCT just cut the check?

Not sure they didn't have an issue this morning. Though that was my first trip. Sharpp orTraffic will be better on that question when they check in. LoL

Well actually I just finished my 1st load. The orientation was over quickly cause they do the modules online before getting to Sapulpa. Which some are very long, prepare for 6 - 8 hours of them. But it was still 2 days with drug screen, physical, and any modules you still have to complete. Once that is done you look at the trucks available on Monday and take your pick. Then when your screening has come back free and clear you are sent out on Weds on your first load. No the don't pay for orientation but you do get lunch everyday you are there til you are dispatched.
