Well I'm doing the modules in preparation for orientation. Having problems getting them to download. It' slow go. What about the new trucks that were supposed to come in in February? Anyone know anything about them

If you see that truck, stop it and hand the driver wads of cash.

Seriously though,
Just about done. Finishing up an overhead, drive tire rotation, wash and detail. 2012 with 387k on the clock, and 27000+ left before next PM. Should get her tomorrow. I really wish I had been able to complete the modules before getting here, but was on the road with no access when I got the links on Thursday afternoon. Ornamentation is VERY fast paced. I found myself having to sneak away from Javada to get upstairs and finish the payroll stuff. HAHA!!
I did something that I was told few if any drivers do: I got a copy of the 80-point checklist that the shop does when they do a PM. Things that Speedco, TA, Petro and the rest of them DON'T do. While I might not be climbing under the truck on a regular basis, it at least gives me a list of things I can keep an eye on myself to get corrected before they become more expensive with continued wear. It will be getting fixed, whether you like it or not, one way or the other. The truck will be turned back in in the same condition as when it rolled out. So, if you miss a PM because you are going to upgrade in a few weeks, you are going to pay for a PM anyway when you turn the old truck in.
There will be a learning curve, and I am looking forward to getting out there and putting some miles onto that old girl. First payment isn't until 3/5 settlement and first tank of fuel is free. Going to take advantage of that and try to generate as much revenue as possible out the gate.
Met quite a few of you, and it was really good meeting you. I will be picking Sharpp and Trafficcontrol's minds with a fine tooth comb. Going to concentrate on strategic fuel purchasing (Thanks Traffic!) and MPG's, which theoretically should be decent since they are completing an overhead as we speak.Soule_Man Thanks this. -
