I don't have my scan gague yet, but I was originally getting around 7.4. My truck originally had XDA Energy Super Singles on it. When I needed tires, I was forced to get one at the Santa Nella, CA. T/A, and all they had at the time was a Bridgestone Greatec, which has a rolling resistance of 131. When I got to the terminal to get the rest of my tires, they had Goodyear super singles on hand that had a rolling resistance of 116. I ended up having to get another replaced because of the cable chain that broke last winter and tore a few lugs off one of my 6 month old Goodyears (grrr), so now I have 2 Greatecs and 2 Goodyears I am waiting until I use these tires up to go back to the XDA Energy. Anyway, I have been getting between 6.4 and 6.9 with these tires. What really sucks is that I used to run bumbping the governor (68), but now I run around 64/65, unless I'm in California. Without having a scan gague, I use the info from the Qualcomm (omnitracks) and I note the miles, gallons used, and MPG. It's not perfect, but it has been working as a loose reference.

Where did you say you were going Truk? I think you said Salinas to Georgia? I've been bragging on here that one benefit of JCT is the length of haul. We suck at a few things, but we're the boss of solo LOH.

I really can't wait to get over to orientation and start up. The recruiters tried to get me to go this weekend but I wanted to give a 2 weeks notice and take a little trip to the beach. Thanks for all the info that y'all have been feeding us on here.

I like a long length of haul. It makes trucking easier, especially with the 14 hour rule.

yes it does. It allows you to get into a Rythm and rest more fully when you take your breaks.

Terry, I'm wondering what that ride runs you?(P.M. me if you don't want it to be public info!) That is sharp! I hope the body work is finished and is all back together!

I hear you on the empty call. I currently run LTL and two or three times a week I call in and dispatch forgets me so I call back and almost always regret it because they will send me to a nightmare shipper. Technically I'm under the 12hr time sheet reg but only once in the last two weeks have I worked less than 12.

I run safe, legal and ontime. In that order, no exceptions. I started running a log book and making sure I follow HOS rules even if the company doesn't. Its my fine, MVR and DAC!
