My pleasure folks. The fuel mileage is higher than my normal but those are my normal miles in the 6 years I've been here.

With the new lease program you should be able to pay it off in 2.5 years, not sure about the year. Even on the older models that would be difficult.

For a new truck you'd be looking at monthly payments in the $12k neighborhood to pay it off in a year. Terry's right, figure 2.5 to 3 years for a new JCT truck.

Finally got loaded yesterday after waiting for some Romaine in Castroville. Had a simple pick down highway 101 in Gonzales and then off to the San Paso truckstop just north of Paso Robles. This little gem is a great find! There's plenty of parking that never fills up. The little cafe there makes a mean club sandwich and serves it with genuine french fries made from a real potato! The cashier next door sold me on the breakfast burrito too, but I was gone too early today. This load is pretty average, scaling out at 68.5k lbs.

Cruised over to the house for a quick visit under a load. Immediately was confronted with a box in the hallway containing my new 1 horsepower garbage disposal. This thing's a beast! After a couple of hours of work and an unnecessary trip for plumber's putty, it was installed. We had corn on the cob at dinner, so I broke off a piece of cob and stress tested my handiwork. Wow! It ground it completely and quietly.

Earlier in the day, I got a message from a DM. They had a driver picking up in Casa Grande going to Dallas, and my Georgia load would be perfect to help get him home in Florida. It delivers Friday morning, so it's about 600 miles and one day shorter than what I have. Pretty much a wash on paper, but the opportunity to do a favor for another driver and his DM is not to be missed. Plus, freight coming out of Dallas is plentiful so I won't be hurt mileage-wise.

Meanwhile, Soule_Man was giving me updates on his orientation. It sounded like a real up and down experience. Bottom line though. . . Aww, I'll let him come on here and give you the news! All in all it was a good day with smooth roads and good fuel mileage. Hope for some tailwinds tomorrow!

I wonder why they don't put online what is up for grabs in the Bullpin? That would be cool. I also wonder if I can request a specific truck? Thanks.

I am currently at the terminal getting my 300k mile service, among other things I wanted done.I'll be running between the shop waiting room and the offices, so if any of you are here, look for me (I'm hard to miss). I talked to Jack Wallace yesterday, and he told me they have changed the orientation procedures. They are doing orientation every other day, and it is done online. So if anyone out there wants to come to JCT, they could actually do their orientation from wherever they are, online, before they even leave their old job. Then they would come here to the terminal and take a short test (to prove they were the ones that did the online orientation), take their drug test, pick a truck, sign docs, etc. Not a bad deal.
