Nice.. That's good money and paying a truck off..don't no how long you been with jct but have u talked to many drivers that paid there truck off and still pulling for jct? And I heard from different threads on here that jct will make u swap out truck out and doing that you can't really pay one off is that true? Thanks

For my truck, a 3000 mile week at 7 mpg would equal approximately $1,200 at current fuel prices and the current $.45/mile fuel surcharge. That is a pretax number and you would have to remember to set aside your taxes. Also, this would be an average as the amount can vary wildly depending on your beginning fuel (on the truck) and your ending fuel. (Oh, as Terry said, lol)

Yesterday I rolled out of the house and started climbing up to Flagstaff. At over 7,000 feet Flag is the first high point of the trip and I was pretty ok to see 5.7 mpg on the ScanGauge. By the time I hit Albuquerque I had it up to 7.1, but the climb to Moriarty ate my dinner again and I finished the day at 6.8 mpg.

I pulled into the new Pilot on the east side of town only to find no internet and poor cell service. Drat! I didn't even get out of the truck and I headed over to Lisa's Travel Center. This little truck stop has a nice little cafe with friendly prices and it isn't a T/A. So it has THAT going for it!

I was looking forward to some great mileage today with the drop in altitude. I wasn't disappointed as I rolled into Amarillo showing 9.1 mpg. Unfortunately the southerlies were blowing so I gave a lot of it back going down 287. I finished the day at 8.3 and brought my weekly average up to 7.4. I stopped at Loves BBQ in Chillicothe for the first time. This little place has truck access, and I've been meaning to try it out. I had the ribs and sausage combo. The meats were very good and didn't have any evidence of sitting around too long or coming out of a refrigerator. The sauce was a disappointment though. I grew up on central Texas bbq with a vinegary sauce. The Loves sauce was a very average ketchup blend that I could have fixed up with some liquid smoke and cayenne. It was a decent meal, but nothing special.

I pulled into the Fort Worth drop yard tonight and got out from under the Georgia load. My Dallas trailer is waiting here already. It delivers at noon tomorrow, so I can sleep in. I've been short-fueling since I left Salt Lake City last Saturday. I'm looking forward to dropping this load and heading over to the Hutchins Loves for some cheap fuel.

Soule_Man called me a couple of times tonight. He's on his first load with us. Unfortunately it's with a certain chicken shipper and he's going to be sitting pretty late tomorrow. Welcome to JCT!

Finally got this whole thread read and have been enjoying the good info. Anyone going to be in Ponca City tomorrow picking up nuggets? I'll be there from about 1000-1200ish delivering the oil they are fried in. Would be nice to meet someone off TTR in person.

The FSC is paid on all miles, loaded or empty. Currently $.45/mil

In addition, JCT pays the following:

License plate, permits, Trip Pac, road and fuel taxes, PrePass, E-ZPass, Pike Pass, all other tolls, reefer fuel, and trailer wash-outs.

    Lone Ranger 13 Thanks this.
