Today was a long uphill battle from Casa Grande to Van Horn, TX for 497 miles. My 7-day running total is 3,433 miles which saw me parking tonight with less than 45 minutes on the log. I'll have about 10 hours tomorrow to run the remaining 576 miles to Waller. Tomorrow should be fun. It's a long downhill run and should bring my average back up after today's 7.2 mpg.

My settlement email came today and it was pretty much what I expected. I got charged for a little bit more fuel than I actually burned (nice carryover for next week, maybe) and my cash total ended up being $1,577 on 3,758 miles for $.42/mile. These week-to-week numbers don't mean much because of the fuel variable, but if you're watching on here you can get an idea of what the earnings potential is. My settlement last week was $794 on 1,730 miles. But that was aided by being charged for less fuel than I used. All in all, I'm happy averaging over 42 cents/mile (plus 2 cents for the safety bonus!) while paying off a truck.

In more important news: The reviews on the Cooper's BBQ in Junction, TX are very poor. Apparently, they used to be owned by the same people who own my favorite bbq joint on the planet, (Cooper's in Llano, TX) but no more. I still have that nasty, North Texas, ketchupy bbq sauce flavor on my palate from Loves BBQ in Chillicothe. Part of tomorrow's drive will be on US 290, and I'm hoping to smell some smoky brisket on the way!

I was just asking my FIL today what was worth seeing in Llano as it is about 60 miles north of us. He said he used to golf there. I dont golf, but I do love some BBQ!!! Might be a nice ride up there some weekend.

I got a load out of Turlock, CA. (after my Riverside deliveries) and going to Dallas, TX. Chances are I'll be taken off of it before it delivers though, as I already informed dispatch that I'll be arriving 2 to 3 days early (delivery is set for 09/16 @16:00)

I also talked to Thermo King of Tulsa to see what warranty coverage I may have on the apu. So now Royce, breakdown, and Rick (Thermo King) will see what they can work out...and hopefully save me some cash.

Wow That is a good sized window to take it and get to Dallas, Now if I had that and wanted some home time would they allow me to keep it and go home and then go ahead and be there on the 16th? I assume you will be rolling through Phoenix? Thanks Stay Safe Out There!

I talked to the Rich and Famous Sharpp today! hell of a nice guy, He said he started this thread to just throw this information out there, He didn't know he was going to become a headliner in a 1 man show! this is an awesome thread, it tells it like it is, I also spoke to the opening act: Soule_Man the other day who just started out on his quest for stardom! He sounds like he is a heck of a guy as well, I think if they will take me then I am going to jump over to JCT! If I can get an automatic transmission before Sharpp does, I will need to route myself around him! Because he wants one of those too! So we will see how it goes. Thanks Guys I appreciate all the Info. and to Sharpp Stay safe and keep the good info. coming. Thanks!
