I finally made it home. Drop the truck off at Freightliner tomorrow and reacquaint myself with the couch and remote. I don't know how my cab ended up getting so cluttered in the last two days. I may need a grant from FEMA or the EPA to clean it up.

So ends a nice 3,200+ mile week. If the shop can release me by Sunday, I might be able to finish a trip and put some miles in for my next settlement. Otherwise, I'll see what a zero mile week looks like under this new lease plan. JCT has it's faults, but finding miles isn't one of them.

How does taking home time affect your pay with JCT?

All of my fixed weekly expenses continue accruing whether I'm rolling or not. Fortunately with this new lease, I'm only paying $120/week for the truck if it's not moving. I figure that I'm going into the hole about $75 per day while I'm enjoying Vegas buffets and riding my bike. Totally worth it! Lol. When I get my settlement with zero miles, it will be negative and will count against my next positive settlement. I'll plead poverty to my DM when I come back though and hopefully she'll hit me with some nice long trips.

Picked up the truck at Freightliner and I'm ready to roll! It was the clutch switch as expected and the damages were $260 to my maintenance account. But it works like it should and I won enough playing poker last night to almost pay for it. If that idiot didn't catch a queen on the river to beat my full house it would have been a +$300 night. Now I'm ready to go back to work so I can get some rest. Had a lot of "honey do's" this visit.

    Lady K Thanks this.

Lol, youre at .90 cpm and im 100% o/o at a 100% o/o company but yet theyre wiskfully paying a cool .83 cpm. Hmmm? Yes its time for me to look into what the real market is doing again. Thx for the sound scenarios you been freely sharing w/the forum. Also, very enlightening to knkw some intricacies about the l/p platform.

Sharpp, great stuff... I've recently started at Sunco out of Lakeland FL on an L/P, and just signed up for their mileage pay plan, as opposed to their 70% plan. The attraction was with the mileage plan, the company would now pay the reefer fuel - on % they don't. Also all deadhead miles are now paid on mileage @ .90 - on % the first 150 were on the O/O. But here's a problem - being in the SE division for them, which gets me home to central FL every weekend, the miles are limited, around 2000/2200. Not good for a mileage program, eh? I may have to go 48 states in order to make this work. Question - How many miles do you feel you need to have a "productive" week? Obviously you can't do 3,500 every week. Also, do you forsee JCT bumping up your mileage rate to $1.00 or more anytime soon?
