Use their trailers always. No fees! That truck payment also includes $138.00 for my maintenance account. Went with the 2013 freightliner Cascadia
Congrats on your wife for recovering from cancer. I bet that was something hard to deal with. I've talked to other SNI IC drivers and everyone of them has nothing but good things to say. Of course, they all said planning is a huge part of their success. Thinking going to the Rouge side after a year with the company.
Cool, I'm still driving just local though and have over 5 years over the road so should be ok, just have to see if Schneider would let me back. Thanks for info and please cont to keep us updated . I was same as you i did a lot of research before i made my choice and i did a lot of that research on here. Thanks again
We did the same you did(drove for a while when the kids were young quit and started again now that they are grown) and husband is thinking about IC with Schneider. The only thing stopping us is the need for medical insurance. How are you covered?
I'm covered through an independent agent . He found me some good rates only thing is on his dental there is a waiting period for major stuff. Plus if you have any pre existing conditions they might not be covered for first year. I have been self employed for almost 8 years now so came up with that to cover my kids. Blue cross blue shield has a deal for self employed people also just have to go to their web page and can get a quote right there at least a ball park
I believe that $138.00 is not an escrow account. It is kinda like insurance for maint. It is gone....it is not in an account for you to claim later.....am I right? also, when you get a truck through Schneider Finance.....Are you buying it or doing a lease purchase ?
Oh that's good! Then you should be all set! yeah give them a try and lets know if ya can. Be interesting to hear what they say. Will keep going on the updates. Thanks!
Well kinda like insurance. Your right, I can't use it for my personal use but it is put/tracked onto a separate account page where my oil changes, tire repair, mechanical repairs etc..come out of that money. In my case I am buying the truck! They do have lease purchase programs also I believe it is a one year program lease at end year you either buy it, upgrade or walk away.
I hear that! Now we can drive with out the problems of not being there for your kids! I am using the North Shore company SNI recommended so we could get the group rates. My wife worked in insurances for 20 years she says in looks pretty good. Have not used any benefits yet. But will keep ya posted as we move forward. The Insurance covers prescriptions, doctor visits with copay, typical dental and vision. I got the choice plus program $119 per week for me and my spouse. Using the North Shore the money just comes out of my settlement every week 4 weeks only of every month. That is just basic description. I did comparisons to see about getting my own and just couldn't get the kind of coverage that they offer.
