Cool! One could then assume SNI is consistent and that is always good to know..

Today we did more driving and backing. I was able to smooth out my shifts and definitely improving the backing.. got a hole in one on the last back ..yahowzza!

Doing testing tomorrow.. so got to study that coupling and uncoupling just to be sure I got it down.. SNI is a stickular on that. They do not want you dropping a trailer. Probably every company drills that into your head, but thought I would mention it.

We also made contact with our trainers today. I will be meeting up with mine first thing Monday. Out with him at the most 7 days.

Will have my lap top. If I get a chance will continue to post!

    Keep Trucking!

Congratz and thanks for the insider info atruckr, thus far Schneider is my top choice to get my foot in the door and on a truck. Keep us up-to-date as best you can and safe travels.

    Will Do!

All done with on the road training and now headed into class this week for final testing phase!

I had a cool trainer and it actually went well. Did a lot of driving mostly up and down the 5 fwy between California and Washington. Learned a lot about how to get the job done and some good driving tips.

Can't wait to get through next phase!

Got to admit, Schneider has pretty fast yet very extensiveness training period here ... lot of information in short period of time. Guys without any experience just out of school seem to struggle the most but do get through and seems to become easier for them as they push ahead... Having some experience myself it has been a little easier for me but still have to be very much on my toes and learn/take in as much as possible.

Now in this phase 3 part.. I hear is a toughy ...Written exam....:biggrin_25521:

    Will keep ya posted!

    Passed SQT Testing!:biggrin_25519:

Getting a truck and start on Monday.

I was nervous and my own worse enemy on the backing test but manged to shake it off and get it done. Did well on driving and the other hard skills testing.

Written exam took me awhile to complete. Most of us were there 2 days total doing our testing. A lot of the other students complained about the extensive testing process. Don't blame them either it was a bit lengthy process.

Hopefully this will help someone else, study the trip planning and macros to learn as much about them as you can the whole time you are there. Having a good understanding will probably help a lot when it comes time to test.

Schneider is a good company, much better company to start with than what I have learned from the rest of big carrier starting companies out there (my opinion). All though they stress you out to make sure you understand their system. It seems it is because they really want you to know how to do things the way they want it done as much as possible before sending out on your own truck.

Drivers knowing how to trip plan and make there deliveries on schedule is how they make money so they push the facts that you have to know the load assignments qualcom stuff and trip planning.

Now comes the actual doing the job and learning how to really get it done:biggrin_25520:

    Looking forward to it!

    see you out there!

You talking about the driver that got shot in the yard when someone was trying to steal his load?

    I thought he lived?
