We got us a party now! If you all have any questions while at orientation let me know. Will do my best to answer. They do throw a lot of info at ya all at once. Be prepared to take notes.

"Choice" is "pick your own freight". That is what this thread is about right now I came over from company side 5 months ago to be on the O/O Choice/Pick your own side. I know, all the different terms we use for the same program gets me confused sometimes. Anyway "choice" is "Pick your own"

Then if they only have 1,3,5 year leases....I'm going for a year lease. A 3 year lease sounds too long.

I think since I'm a newbie being a Owner Operator. I'm going to tell Andrea the recruiter to switch me over to the Mileage Program, till I understand how this whole thing works. I was kinda looking forward the Choice Program, I like the idea of picking your own freight, guess that will happen later down the road.

They use to do a match program. If you put $2500 down or maybe it is $5000 down they will match it and you will get double off the purchase price what you put down on the truck. Just FYI. Might want to ask about that if anyone is planning to put money down.

If you mean company driver orientation. Yes you can go home if you live close enough and provide your own transportation. I lived near the OC and went home every night. However I do believe we did some training during the weekend so not sure if you can go home all weekend. Dang I forgot now! have to go back and read the beginning of my own thread! That sounds sad! ha!
