I would prefer Freightliner's parksmart if I'm running on batteries. Would b better to ask for a diesel fired apu instead. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

That's what u should do. Battery only good for 10hours. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
Since they seem to be willing to let you upgrade to a diesel APU with a down payment, would they let you choose a 13spd or 18spd over the 10spd if you were willing to put money down for that as well?
I'm putting down the $1800 for the Diesel Powered Tri Pac APU, I'll ask on Monday about upgrading to a 13 Speed OD. Also like to get the Predictive Cruise.
Ask about getting the 13speed automatic also. That would b a sweet ride Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
So, the APU Schneider site states comes with the unit, is an idle free HVAC system? Personally not in the process myself, was referred by a friend and doing some research (playing phone tag with recruiter), I just assumed an APU meant Carrier, Thermoking, etc. My truck comforts do a number on the battery box, not a problem when the company is replacing batteries, but.. I would much rather get into a used truck, but my buddy tells me they don't have any? That puts a big dent in the haters theory, as I would assume if the failure rate was 85%, there would be a huge used inventory available, right? Don't want to hijack this thread, but if anyone looking at Schneider has done some research or had experience with Lone Mountain Truck Leasing, if you could shoot me a PM with any info, I'd appreciate it, as I'm researching them as well.... Good thread
Except that it won't be compliant for running in California. Not sure if the DOT will ever bother you if you have diesel APU, just saying.
