Plugging away out here! On my way to Austin from Cali, again had another chance to stop and see my sister, parents and my sister-in-law. Got a chance to have quick dinner with the wife. Whew! and someone said us truckers who live out on the road don't have a life!!! Geeezze If i get any more of I life I'm gonna need a twin!
Will see what next week brings! Right now on a 30min break per our new HOS rules, kinda tight run so will keep ya posted when possible!
Keep on keep-in-on! -
Glad its going good I can't wait to get my truck and start the wheels turning
Is the stereo in the truck already sat radio ready or do u have to have a separate unit ? I have my old one would be better if the stereo in the truck was already set up with sat radio. -
sat radio--My truck didn't. But a friend of mine had one in his truck. It depends on the truck I guess.
I was thinking the same thing that it would of been nice to have Sat radio in there, but it wasn't. So instead I bought a nice Sony Sirius XM radio with blue tooth. Had it installed in the dash professionally at Best Buy. Off I 40 in Memphis TN about 20 miles East of our OC. The head installer, I think his name is Justin, he has experience working on big rigs. It also has remote which is great for while driving or kicking back in the sleeper. Some radios with out Blue tooth are about $60.00 less. Installed and warranties all totaled cost about $400.00. Also included them installing the antenna. Had to purchase that separately. It sounds great! :smt020Last edited: Jul 7, 2013

Anyway, my point is the load assignment when I pick it is my contract! That is how I look at it. I am agreeing to deliver that load according to what it said when I picked it. All that trip planning testing and grinding we went through when I first started as a company driver really paid off!Last edited: Jul 8, 2013
