    Still here! :yes2557:

Been juggling my schedule because of a death in the family (very sad), working on moving back to Cali and getting service done on the truck (overheads). In addition to that, have to keep the Truck rolling as to not fall behind! Knew I couldn't be on here much last couple weeks. None the less, pretty much got squared away and now just need to make our final move into our new house out here in Victorville CA. Going to be great here. Already last week was able to run by the house couple of times and spend time with the wife y.

Presently just finished up running a load from Reno NV to Hermiston OR. and now have picked up my next load here in Hermiston (at the drop) going back on down to Las Vages!

Ran 6 short (300 to 500 mile) loads last week around the Cali/NV/OR area. Have to say it looks to be coming out ok. Not making big bang bucks but will take home about $1100 to $1200. Not bad for only about 2300 to 2500 miles this week. This allowed the time to also work on personal stuff too.

    Keep on Trucking!

    RollTruckerTide and scythe08 Thank this.

Just bought a new Garmin dezl760 GPS. My old one bit the dust! Just quit! Had an older 7" intelliroute Rand Mcnally that another driver gave to me. I like the benefits of having both the company GPS and my own. Multiple times in situations where one fails the other will give me my out. Plus the lane assist and up coming scales, speed changes, rest areas and truck stop search etc.. with a personal GPS you get conveniences you don't have with Company GPS. With the company you get accurate (usually) direction to the customer. Personal GPS will screw up when in comes to getting into the customer.

Anyway, bought it for $293.00. had $107 on my Pilot points and purchased it in Oregon (no tax). Not to bad for $399.00 retail price unit.

Now trying figure out how to get the weather and live traffic techy stuff to work :biggrin_25523:

Those features are added via your smart phone isn't it? I've been wanted to update my old 465t the first version from long ago. I have about $150 on my pilot card. Just being patient.

Yes, had to down load the smartphone app onto my phone and then use Bluetooth to connect to the GPS. The live weather radar is an $4.99 up grade and it installs it onto the GPS via my phone. I got that one. The live traffic detection is an $19.99 upgrade, I'm still checking that out before I get it. There were a few free upgrades also when I downloaded the app and connect phone to GPS. Such as trip tracker (lets people you choose to follow you in live GPS mode. Some kinda cool stuff probably will never us tho : )

One thing I don't' like is there dosen't seem to be an city/state locator as i am traveling. That was something I really liked about the Rand M. When rolling you always know the city/town your traveling in. Comes in handy sometimes.

Only compatible with Android phones no apples yet.

Ok made it on down here to Vegas! Got to delivery, kinda small place for a wal-mart pulled in stop to check with the guard, friendly guy he said just park truck here and go on over to shipping dept. Ok, so I go on in to shipping show the guy my paper work and he says that load don't go here! I'm like okay??? I say, according to my assignment it does. Nope he says there is another address on your assignment take it there!.. Ok now I'm getting a little irritated because I know there is no other address on my assignment. So I say look, uhmm do you know where this goes or am I just completely in wrong place? He says just a minute I have make a call. He comes back gives me a little map and say here drop it in the drop yard. It's about 5 miles away. Alrighty then! Now I look at the map and check the route with him specifically to be sure it is ok to enter from the direction I was going to take. I know to them it sounds foolish because they know the area. But to us we are 73 feet long and way to many times what seems simple place to go can turn into a nightmare with wrong turns and no place to turn around.. if you know what I mean:biggrin_25520:. Of course out here in the west the roads are usually roomy (not always) and it was pretty easy to get to.

I swear, sense I picked this load up (claims trailer) nobody seem to know what to do with it. Even guards at check out where I got it from had to check emails etc.. to figure out that they needed to open trailer pull paper work and give it to me etcc.. little stuff, but makes you wonder. So I arrive at drop yard and finally a pretty lady there seem to know exactly what I had shuffled the paper work gave me a copy and had me drop and grab an MT. Cool i'm done and head over to Mortons former Flying J. just around the corner.

Been checking for loads out of here all the way down and not seeing much in this area unless i want to take a cheap earth and stone load. Nope I don't! because I can probably deadhead on down to southern cal and grab a better paying load. Will see, waiting now for Thursday loads to hit the board. If i'm going take crap might as well wait until I get some fresh loads to choose from.

    Be safe!

Ended up picking load out Southern Ca and deliver it in Phoenix AZ. Sitting outside Phoenix now looking for next load. Was waiting to pick next load because board didn't have to many loads for what I been wanting to do, and that is stay in the western area. Will see what happens. Still have to get this load delivered and then see if can find something else! Weather is great nice and cool at night warm during day ...ahhh

    Have a great day!
