That's the way I do it! If the MT search isn't reasonable then I will request to bobtail in. We have the responsibility to run our business profitably not only for ourselves but for everyone involved.
Would someone tell me what a DBL is? I'm thinking it's a dispatcher or driver manager? appreciate it!
Well, the way I see it what comes around goes around.. that next driver will get a chance to bobtail somewhere without getting an MT and I will be the guy coming in to live load when it was suppose to be a drop & hook! No big thing....Were all in this together just the way it works..
Driver Business Leader. I'm a company driver and ask to bobtail every time I get the shaft from the customer.
Yeah its a 1973 M35A2 "Deuce and a Half". 6x6, air shift transfer case, multifuel engine manufactured by White. I don't think a day goes by where Moosc and I don't go at it. Yeah if its a reasonable search (along the route) I don't mind at all, but if it's problematic and way out of the way, I will call in. I may not have stood up for myself enough as a company driver. Now that I'm responsible for more than just driving the truck, I don't play those games with SNI any more. Best way I can describe it is as follows, probably not totally correct but best I can do, lol. A DBL (driver business leader) is basically the person at Schneider that is your main point of contact for just about anything. They are not responsible for dispatching you but can look at your loads and a good one will work things in your favor. As the driver you don't communicate with the planners (the actual person that decides on the loads for company drivers) or the box planners (the ones who keep track of (lol yeah right) and assign empty trailers). Although I don't know what a driver manager is, based on the wording itself I'm guessing its probably very similar.
