More like ford dum, they use aluminum now which burns easy. If you can light WP, you can light aluminum.

Peeled a trailer tire off in bum F no where desert on the way to Reno. Working for JBH at the time. Called it in, guy said they'd send someone. Told him not needed, I had like 4 pallets on, in the nose, so I drove it almost 200 miles to the T/A in Reno.

Most of my hauling is local. When I do a long trip, I'll pack a jack and 1" impact. Most of our trailers carry spares, the one I was pulling doesn't get used much and didn't have a spare.

On the trailer I pull the most, I have a air quick connect on the trailer air tank the hook the 1" impact up. I've found you can get much more volume of air if you come directly off the trailer tank.

Yes, but you will have to stop several times and let the air build back up. It's kind of slow but still beats a lug wrench or a service call.

I first tried running it off the glad hand but that didn't work very well. By running off the trailer tank, I can use a short hose and the tank adds volume.
