I know last he posted he was trying to get some miles/money since Janurary was a bit of a bust for him and he was trying to make back some of the money he lost over the holiday. Hopefully we hear from him soon!!

If I remember his truck number correctly he was in Conover on Thursday night. When I came into Conover I always look for trucks I know by the list I keep on my visor. I did not want to bother, since it was later in the evening.

Isn't he required by law to take 10 hours of downtime every 24????

Well hey there everyone! In a holding pattern here in St. Joseph MO for a 34 hour reset. I'll be rolling again at 08:45 today on my way to our Salt Lake City terminal where I "hope" to meet up with Highway Preacher for a meal.

As AT and Sammycat have said, (thanks you two), I've been running as hard as I can to make up for the slow season and holiday home time. By the grace of God (and of course...dispatch...lol) the miles have been GREAT!

    cpape,
Yes sir you would be correct although technically, we can run 13 hours in a 24 hour period and when the loads allow it, I try to do that as much as possible. It's pretty amazing how quickly that 10 hours gets eaten up though. Between the post trip, eating, paperwork, Qualcomm, laundry, shopping, not to mention the occasional cleaning of ice and snow off the trailers (I had almost 550 lbs. of it on mine up in great falls after a run from Modesto to there and getting a flour load). At -25 with a 40 mph wind, that took some time....:biggrin_2556:

But the reason I haven't been online isn't "just" due to time. It's also a matter of finances. Since the new year put me back down in that area and I have to buy my internet time at Loves and/or Pilot, I just didn't want to spend the cash. Call me cheap (although I prefer frugle...lol), but even at only 20 bucks per place, per month, I won't spend it until the cash flow gets rolling again. Well it has and for better or worse, here I am again....:biggrin_2559:.... Also, I'm not always at a Loves or Pilot when taking my 10 so that also adds to my lack of getting on here.

Anyway, things have been going great lately and I'm still having a blast delivering the "goods". Ole Betsy needs some attention and I tried to get to Helena during last week but due to a 12 hour delay getting a load out of Dalton, and another 12 hour delay getting one out of Modesto, I didn't get to Helena until the weekend. They run just two mechanics on the weekends soooo....Betsy is just gonna have to wait until I get back there...:biggrin_2557:

Since coming back in Feb. I've had a run from NJ to GA, GA to our Phoenix AZ and Modesto CA terminals, Modesto to Great Falls MT, Great Falls to Palmyra PA, PA to High Point NC and now this one from Conover to Salt Lake City. I'm about halfway there and after my 34 is up in a couple hours, I should get there by Monday at around 09:00 local time.

I have to say, after all this running, this 34 sure feels GOOD! Shower, laundry, shopping, REST, and still time to watch a movie or two and get online to say hey! :biggrin_25525:

Shifting, too bad you didn't say hello man. You can always knock on my door. I'm either up and I'll answer, or sleeping and and I won't....:biggrin_2559:

I met Fiddle Player and another student there Thursday. They were on the way out with Tim for a short hop (real life) run. Hope it's going well for them.

    sammycat and Wedge Thank this.

Hey Chris hubby was in St Jo this morning and thinks he saw you on your way into the truck stop. He is on his way to SLC as well for some home time. We live about 30 miles N of SLC....Maybe you'll run into each other along the way....

Hey buddy, long time no talk to.

Thanks for that update. I was wondering where you've been. Maybe once I get sorted out down here, I can run into you for that cup of coffee.

    Stay safe out there, brother.
