I'm very sorry for your loss. It does tend to put things in perspective, though. Best of luck and prayers to you and your family in the coming days.
Sorry to hear about your Dad, Chris. You and your family will be in my prayers. I hope they get you home ASAP. Losing your Father is a hard thing. Cherish the times you were able to spend with him. God can and will help you through this time. Take care my friend.
Chris All I can say is that I am so sorry for your loss and I will keep you and your fsmily in my prayers. No words will ease your pain and time will help. From knowing you and the person you are I can only imagine the man your Dad was to raise such an amazing son and man as you. Love ya sweetie xoxoxoxoxox
Chris I love you like a brother man, we have talked about everything in life I feel like I knew you parents. You know I am LDS or Mormon as people like to call us. At church today I had a prompting to read in the Book of Mormon Alma section 40 Here is the intro: Chapter 40 Christ brings to pass the resurrection of all men'The righteous dead go to paradise and the wicked to outer darkness to await the day of their resurrection'All things will be restored to their proper and perfect frame in the Resurrection. About 74 B.C. my 2 favorite verses from this section: 11 Now, concerning the astate of the soul between bdeath and the resurrection'Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are ctaken dhome to that God who gave them life. 12 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of ahappiness, which is called bparadise, a state of rest, a state of cpeace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow. If you take after your dad your dad was righteous and he is now in paradise with our heavenly father. You know I wont preach or push religion on anyone just wanted to share this with you brother.
Thanks everyone. Your words of support mean so very much. I'm hopeful the truck will be done today and I can start working my way back East to be with my family soon. My dad's wishes mean there is no viewing or funeral to miss so at this point, I simply want to get home to my mom and family. They're planning a gathering, a celebration of my Father's life. I hope the timing of me getting home will work to be a part of that. My Dad's life and accomplishments are certainly worth celebrating! This will likely be my last post until I reach home. You've all been such great friends and acquaintances and honestly, I feel a little bad that I've allowed my posting to slip. I'll endeavor to correct that. God Bless Everyone!
I talked to Chris this afternoon and he "SHOULD" be headed east by now. He was in his truck waiting for a load going to Maryland to arrive for him to take east.
