Hey Sweetie! I would and I have. It has been a challenge to overcome the roughly 4 year gap in my driving but I've spent considerable time researching different companies. I've put in a bunch of apps that have largely gone ignored. However, I'm happy to say I believe I've found a company that will work with me and from everything I've read on a thread here about them, I'll be very lucky to work for them. By their drivers words they seem like everything WS was to me and perhaps, even a touch better. I put my online application in on Monday. Called to follow up on it yesterday and left a voicemail message. Got a call back later yesterday and spoke with their recruiter. I have been invited to orientation and I just need to give them a week's notice for when I can go. I have a few things here to get wrapped up first and I'm hopeful I'll be there within the next 2 weeks at the latest. They have orientation starts each Monday and Wednesday. They have a refresher training course for guys like me that have been off the road for a while. From what I've been able to gather from the drivers there, it would seem I'll likely get through that pretty quickly before being assigned a truck. Orientation & training pays $100 a day and after that my 2 years OTR experience will start me at .38/mile. I really can't wait!! So, if all goes well .... it looks like I'm back! Guess I'll have to change my avatar picture and bring a close to this thread.
