It looks real nice. But one of the draw backs to our little "event" is that most of us may have trouble freeing up time, so there will be a pile of rigs showing up on the fly, just so they can at least "check-in" and "sign-in".

We'll might need to stick to the major freight lanes for the first go round. But I think once it's established, the location might need to move around the country. The TTR members are pretty spread out.

We also can't forget about the dedicated, regional, and LTL guys. It's one big family.

I like everything your saying. Just don't ask me to enter the best dish cooked in a truck contest. No one will award me a prize for microwave popcorn.

BobMac, there is so much potential here. Once the word gets out, which it may already have, it's going to be like a juggernaut. Pretty tough to stop. Big is OK, but we'll need to be cautious that this doesn't turn into a monster, meaning something we lose control of. We need a way to communicate ideas and thoughts while we attempt to organize this.

    A thread maybe?

Since I don't drive I think this sounds the most logical to me. The location for this to work, at first and until it's a proven event, would have to be centrally located on like Wedge says, a major freight lane. This way drivers could at least attempt to show up even for a short time if it's on their route.

Keep the ideas flowing. At least it's a start and it's only been a few days!
I heard about the truck jambore maybe some ideas to take from that???

    Wedge Thanks this.

Hey guys, these are all GREAT ideas. I think they should all be put in a thread all it's own so everybody on TTR has a chance to weigh in. You may be able to get some volunteers if everybody can see what is going on. Not everybody is reading about Chris' experience with WS. Why they aren't I'm not sure because it has been fun keeping up with him.
Is there somebody who wants to open a new thread?

Wedge, chralb and sammycat Thank this.

Okay Wedge-- since you seem to have the most ideas in all your posts and you and difference maker have now both mentioned a thread........*subltle hint or hits you all over the head with a big stick*

Put a thread in the general anything section titled something to the effect: TTR get together ideas??? reference them to this thread starts at post #271 by you Wedge best I can figure. Maybe with a thread starter we can also get some mods in on this too. I know they do read posts cuz that is their 'job' and if threads start to go bad or get nasty they will jump in but I don't know how much they can read of all these.

DM, very valid point. Not everyone is interested in what's happening here with Chris, or with ORG. These threads should be informative and not get over loaded with information that doesn't apply to a new potential driver.

I think before this gets out of hand, we should look into a dedicated thread.

    OH NO!!!! Not a stick!!!

SC, your right. That would be the best location for it. I see REDD has a thread going about "who have you met from TTR". I hope this won't step on his toes too much.

I can start a discussion thread and see where it leads. I'll script out some kind of opening post. We'll probably have to wade through a lot of info.

    Sound like a plan, everybody???

Sounds great Wedge! And yes Redd does have that thread about who have you met but this would be HEY LETS GET TOGETHER or such.
I don't think Chris will mind TOOOO much that we totally hijacked his thread for several pages cuz we do occasionally mention his name LOLOLOLOL!!

Chris you know we miss ya and hope you are doing great!!

    BobMac Thanks this.

I was just going to ask why this thread about Chris and WS turned into the sammycat and Wedge show. :biggrin_25523:
