it sure is nice to have you talking to him and updating us...as going by the miles he is putting in he may find time tight when it comes to getting online. thanks for the update.
If his numbers are right and has 600 to go, he might be staying at the receiver over night unless he bobtails the heck out of there or does a D/H. Either way, it's gonna be close. I did read about how to perpetuate the logbook by reducing the driving time per day. Is that the method your referring to? If not, I may have to join your class.
Hey Chralb (may i call you Chris?), Thanks for starting this thread. I found out about it from the one originated by ORG when you guys were going to school (i read all of that first!). I had read a lot of downer threads and posts before coming across yours and ORG's. I like you guys much mo' betta"! And although it does seem as if there are more and more upbeat posts out there these last few weeks, your gung-ho-ness (sorry i couldn't come up with a real word here!) has everyone just about beat! Any chance you can encourage any W/S team buddies you have to start a thread similar to yours? My hubby and i are leaning that way (teaming) with especial interest in W/S because of the of the lack of extended training that most companies seem to require. Not that we are against training or learning BTW, but because we want to be together right from the start and so far seems like only Covenant trains teams together (yep...I've read up on them...). Can you also confirm that W/S will allow pets still? We are not quite ready to start calling comapnies/recruiters so right now all of my researchi is on line and on the trucker's forum! Keep enjoying the ride and i'll love to continue enjoying your thread! Cheers.
Okay I haven't had the chance to read through your whole thread. Let me get this straight, you have over 3,800 miles for the week? You crazy %&!@ How creative your logging must be! I need to give you a call when I get a chance, I just need to hear about this.
AT!! Congrats, I heard that Conover is very very busy I'm up here in Missoula, This place is cool, I have a few more days and either they kick me to the curb or they put me in a truck, I hope the latter happens! The training is awesome!, The trucks seem good the shop fixes what they need to and get you down the rad, We had the manager of dispatch come in today and he was saying that they are trying t get more coast to coast runs for the slos ands then get them to running two trips a week with drop and hooks at each end, I'm pretty excited if I can get 3500-4000 miles a week that would be cool. Take Care. TD24
I'm pretty beat right now and there are a lot of posts to address here so I'll just hit this one tonight. YEP! the load was on time. Well....ok, it was actually 10 minutes late because when I came off I-10 east, I had to make a left on Litchfield Ave. Well, wouldn't you know it, there was the I-10 overpass right there and they had Litchfield road closed under it as they were working on it. So I had to jump right back on I-10 east, hit the next exit and grab west so I could make a right on the other side of the overpass....LOL I'm at a Pilot in Avondale AZ right now where I'll be taking a short break to do "house" chores...LOL and get some good sleep. This place is just PACKED so I'll probably hit the showers and laundry sometime after midnight. That's cool as it's a balmy 117 here right now and I'm in no hurry to get out of the truck...LOL Funny, 3 days ago I was on a mountain top in OR and it was 28 degrees. My how things change in a hurry when trucking....
Chris, Good to hear you made it there, You are about 3 miles from my home, I spoke to CAGE tonight on the phone, He sounds happy with his nightly line haul, We will see what happens in the next couple days as far as trucks go. I hope to get a good one. See all of yu ut there, Thanks. TD24
You handled it right and got it done. You deserve a good nights rest. Keep up the great posts, buddy. God's light is shining upon you!
Hey org, Just wondering where u run out of and how long u stay out at a time? Hard to believe u r that excited at 3800 miles for a week???
