LA on a Friday night in a big truck.... I've never been there but that must have sucked judging from watching LA on the news.

Chris, It was an honor to meet you, buddy. I know you were pressed for time and worried about Old Bessy. Hopefully one of these days, we'll have time for that cup of coffee.

Chompi, Chris is the real thing. I was lucky that he just happened to be nearby, and even more fortunate that I could at least say hi and shake his hand.

I can assure you all that Chris is a fine addition to this industry. I'm proud to have met him.

    Me? :biggrin_2556: I don't deserve that honor.

But I agree with you, Sammycat, that Chris (aka Chralb) would be a fine choice. He has turned this thread into a real mover. Just look at how many folks visit. This is one very positive thread full of people willing to give constructive advice to those who ask.

Actually, it wasn't all that bad. The traffic going in wasn't "too" heavy....LOL and the same coming out Saturday morning. The biggest challenge for me was the shippers lot (Roadrunner Daves). It was a whole string of various shippers in one big complex. But it was Soooooo tight in there I had "just" enough room between the trailers at the dock and the ones parked to squeeze through all the way down to the very end where I had to D&H. Being Friday night, the place was just a HOPPING too!!....:biggrin_2559:

I actually had to drop the empty right between those docked and parked trailers and have a yard jockey take it away. That's what they told me to do and I could see why...LOL. I mean seriously, there wasn't even enough room to spin the bobtail around without 3 back ups and pull ups.....:biggrin_2556:

Quite the adventure and a really good "new" experience! :biggrin_25525:

The pleasure was mine buddy and I too wish we had more time. Who knew that first, I'd have to park on the street as the Pilot there was a postage stamp and absolutely PACKED and second, that one single place I parked gave me no Qualcom signal....:biggrin_25521:

That's the reason I had to move. I put my empty and available in but nobody knew it and I didn't want to miss out on getting on the dispatch list. Otherwise, I'd have enjoyed hanging for that Cup-O-Jo with you.

We'll meet again I'm sure and with any luck, you'll be a driver with us by then. I wish you the very best in that endeavor sir! :biggrin_25514:

Yes I have it buddy. Had I known (or remembered??) that you were in Phoenix, I'd have called you the last time I was there.

    Is that where you're based??
