Don't want to move out of mine. I'm about out of hours anyway so I'm gonna try to get the room and some break down pay (this time) and see if I can stay in my home. But gotta check out now...talk to you all later I hope.

    Wedge and sammycat Thank this.

Chris, you are doing great man! It does suck switching trucks though. Especially just temporarily. It's a real pain in the butt when you have to re-set up all your electronics! Whatever you have to do to keep moving though, that's truckin! Good luck man just remember to enjoy it all! Drive safe.

Well, as it turned out, I didn't get into anothet truck. I took mine to the shop and it kept seeming like we got the problem fixed. Then I'd run it a while and the same thing would happen. By the time all this was done, I think dispatch gave up on me and I never heard from them.

So, I have to hang here over night for a new fuel pump to arrive in the morning. I just hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot for getting under load tomorrow when the work is done. Especially with a fresh 70 now..... We'll see......:biggrin_25524:

At least you didn't break down on the side of the road on a friday afternoon. Sometimes you have to shoot your foot instead of between the eyes.:biggrin_25521:

If you get a chance get out of that Volvo or you will be spending a lot time messing around with little problems with it. Mack has turned into the same junk. Hate them both.

Hang in there and keep taking it all in stride. Suxs to say the least to not be out running but as Znine said, better than being on the side of the road waiting HOURS for break down to show up.....
Things with moving parts do tend to break down ''occasionally'' :biggrin_25521:

Yes it sucks when your truck is not working but that's just part of the job, don't feel like your the only one that has had this happen....I can't keep track of the times hubby has had his truck in the shop and missed out on loads, and his is a new truck!!!
FYI when your truck is in the shop dispatch cannot send you a load until the truck is fixed and ready to go...
Hope things work out for you today.

    Chris,

Sorry that you are still having trouble with your truck. I hope they get things together and take care of that! If you continue to have issues with that truck, I hope they replace it pretty quickly. Knowing you, you're just running the truck too hard. :biggrin_2559:

    Oh....I'm running sammycat! :biggrin_25525:

Got a load out of Conover Friday afternoon and headed for Huston now. Stopped in Biloxi MS for the Ummmm...morning? Day? LOL Rolled in here about 04:00 EST.

I finaly met and have been hanging with Mike NC!! VERY COOL guy. He brought his truck over to Blue Ridge for a lube service while I was there. We went shopping at Wal Mart so I finaly have a full cooler of food again. He has a run to TX as well so we're rolling together. Very Cool to have a friend to run with!!

So, they put a new fuel pump and filter in mine. It idles OK and runs good but the fuel level is WAY low in the filter bowl. So it's still not "fixed". I'll try to get a load headed for Hellena next and perhaps they can get it done. The pump did need to be replaced as it was suking air into the system.

I personally think there's a crack in the filter base that allows the fuel to flow to the outlet before it can fill up over the filter's bottom and actually feed "through" the filter. As long as she's pulling...I'm DRIVING....LOL I don't want no moss growing under MY feet.....:biggrin_25523:
