So I take you're already in a truck? By your first post here and your status of "wannabe", I thought you were shooting to be a driver? Anyway, I hope you got that heatrer fixed. That's NO place to be without one for sure.

Glad you made it safetly through as well. Many...didn't. :biggrin_25513:

Awww...SHUCKS! Trust me babydoll, she's much better looking than I...:biggrin_25525:

Yea I was really hoping to get out there as you know. Who knows? Crissy might just have a plan? I know this much, if she can make it work, she will.

LOL I don't think the indian trading post I wanted to get to has "online". If they did, they'd probably have to ship it by horseback....:biggrin_2559:

Hope you and Dave get some quality time over the holiday sweetie!!

    Hey Brother!!

I have to say I'm only half the process. I do push (the miles not them) for sure, but I get along with all the dispatchers pretty well and THEY really are GREAT! They work with me and that makes my end that much easier.

As of now, I have nothing but high regards for them. I keep in mind that not every load will be what I want but I'd say that 80% of the time, I get both what I want, and where I want to go. That speaks VOLUMES about them in my book! :yes2557:

It's all about working as a team. Just like the mechanics. I help whenever I can, don't gripe and treat them like...well...PEOPLE! I had that down time in Helena getting my truck fixed. Being I'm not the type to enjoy sitting around with nothing to do, I helped out around the shop. I even took the sander truck over to the county and got it filled with sand. The shop manager was so thankful, he authorized 4 days beakdown pay for me. I'm sure he would have anyway as that's policy but, he offered, I didn't have to ask.

These folks are like family to me.

I'm in a truck, just not a driver yet. I have been a passenger with my boyfriend for the past 2 years almost. I start school Jan 24th at Crowder College in Neosho, MO and then will be going through orientation and training at Con-Way Truckload. After that me and my boyfriend will be driving team. Sorry for confusing you :biggrin_25522:

We did get the heater fixed and back on the road now. We got a load going to Virginia and they might be sending us home (KY) from there. We are taking a long time for Christmas/New Year's too, two weeks paid vacation, I can't wait!!

Glad that W/S is turning out to be such a great fit for ya, hope that continues for a long, long time :biggrin_255:

    Oh...OK....lol

Glad you two are up and running again. Just stinks to be sitting. Good luck with your plans Katey. Teaming with a loved one is the best of both worlds.

Yea I'm happy here at WS. It's a good company to work with for sure. Enjoy your "paid" time off. I'm not there yet but will enjoy my break all the same.
