Rollin Coal your right!!!
Cummins set the record straight in their May 2013 newsletter, outlining that Ford Motor Company had purchased 10.8% of the diesel engine manufacturer in 1990. In 1997, those shares were bought back, and as such Ford has not owned a stake in Cummins since. Think of it as an investment for Ford, rather than a strategic move. Beyond the medium duty market, there are no additional ties between Ford and Cummins. If you were told that Ford owns or has owned Cummins, your source was wrong.RVTransporter Thanks this. -
I like the 8.3 but wasn't aware it was available in anything but the T300?, and thats kind of cramped cab wise.
-
The 7.3 never made the emission regulation. They could not put them on the road after 2003.

Truckon....you can get them in the little KW and Pete's and the Freightliner M2106. But now in the KW and Pete they are labeled as the Paccar PX8. Still the same motor though.
Only the big Paccar MX is not a Cummins, it's based on the DAF engine.truckon Thanks this. -
wow I guess I can stop listening to the FORD gurus

RollinDan - I got your PM. This is a good place to start. Click on my name to the left and review my former post. You will get a good review of the current situation in RV Delivery. I think your goal of delivering for the next 3-5 month is on track. There are some closed threads that a few snarky people caused to be shut down, but the information is still valid and reviewable.
Im doing Drive-Away for the next 3 months. No reason to add the miles on a great truck. I bought Rogers old Ford Ranger from his wife, ( tragic situation - he will be missed), with the tow set-up. It has a shell and a platform for the bed. Sweet set up.
See you on the road.

So now you want to insult members of this forum?lastone in Thanks this. -
Its OK to have an opposing view. After reviewing some of the post on the closed threads - I just call them as I read them. As you recall bickering was one of the reasons one of the treads was closed down by the admin. Not content, dialog, or information - but bickering.
Industry information, whether its perception or reality, has a long way to go. -
Well as of now I won't post in this section and let you give out all of your bad advice. Just remember the 37 inch rule. I will still see that those folks that want the real information will be sent to the right place and your not invited.
