You probably live somewhere over there in Michiana though which makes it a little more viable as a full time job.
Hey here's a quick couple questions. If you're on your third truck that means truck #2 and 3 were definitely business purchases right? Were you able to write off the depreciation that year on your taxes?

Anyone have info on what it's like to drive for Pinnacle Transportation driving one of their semis pulling a single drop flat?
-
Pinnacle has an ad up for CDL A drivers. Hauling USPS vans out of the Elkhart area. Ad talks about all the miles you can log. Ad says they will have backhauls lined up for you since you're pulling a step deck flatbed.
brank Thanks this. -
Sorry to stretch this out a bit but I just came on as a new member and need 7 posts before I can start my own thread!
Pinnacle's ad gives some pretty good numbers for what they are paying. -
Was wondering how long the USPS vans are gonna last.
Thing about the trucking industry is as soon as things get good, things change. -
Pinnacle's ad says they are paying 0.60 cpm loaded and 0.40 cpm empty. Not a lot of empty miles as they keep that flatbed loaded.

I've been trucking a long time but have never hauled any new vehicles. Pinnacle says the USPS vans are pre-loaded. Just hook up and go.
Are there many issues hauling vans like that on a single drop stepdeck?
