I do not think so.
I will have to look to be sure.
You really cannot see much except the banner for more drivers from 19.

Who do you haul for or are you a big truck? -
Ex-Werner trainee and ex-Horizon Transport delivering motor homes and commercial trucks. Life long area resident.

Splendiferous..
I just got 'de-leased' from IT due to not being able to complete a haul.
Truck was in shop, got completed and called for load. Got assigned load for the PA RV Show. Awesome, finally able to get back on the road! Attempt to start truck Friday night, no start. UGH. Call wrecker and shop, should be repaired and roadworthy by Sat night. Good to go, can keep my sunday run no need to pull papers out of rig and call and have to cancel the run. Saturday shop closes at noon unbeknownst to me with no call. Truck locked down and unable to get to it. All dispatcher numbers in the truck, standard company dispatch phone number listed in cell phone. Great. No way to reach anyone to advise them I can't pickup load, since they don't work sunday. Got called today and asked why I didn't call them yesterday so they could cover the run, told them I didn't have a way to call the dispatchers as my logs/books/phone lists were all in my truck in the shop. Was told 'we will no longer be dispatching you as you should have found a way to get the shop to open and get into the truck so you could call'. Hell, if I'm that good, might as well as tell the shop owners to open up and start working on my truck again.
So it's off to Elkhart/Goshen tomorrow to try to find a new place to pull for. And hope that my ###### truck gets out of the shop. Good ol Ford.. I won't say anything bad about the company, I placed myself in a position where I couldn't complete the run through a comical list of timely coincidences... Looked into Classic and Horizon, however an '04 doesn't meet one of their '5 years or newer truck req's'. Any idea if they are flexible? Going to also look at Hoosier there on SR19.... I can burn the miles, as long as my truck can burn the fuel. -
Hoosier on 19 does not have the year restrictions. I do not know about Mapletree.
NukedNative Thanks this. -
Pinnacle Transport on Old US 20(just west of the Chevy, Ford & Nissan dealers) has a sign proclaiming "DRIVER NEEDED ASAP!"
Good luck.NukedNative Thanks this. -
Pinnacle on Old 20 is Driveaway at .69 cpm base (alot of brown trucks....)
-
And the brown trucks do not allow a tow car. -
I did this for Morgan many many many moons ago.
I don't even put it on my resume any more.
I didn't make much money but I had a good time.
Most of these outfits offer no back haul return runs.
You hafta tow your 4-wheeler along with you and deadhead
back to your home port or on to your next run.
Same thing if you pull one with your dually...doesn't matter.
And you hafta purchase your own riggings, tow bars, etc.
And they DO NOT pay any mileage for using your POV.
It's all deadhead between runs.
Forget their fancy sales talk (blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...) .
Without POV mileage it'll eat into your profits big time.
I've checked into a couple of these outfits in recent years
and their policies haven't changed at all to that end.
This gig is ok for a retired or even semi-retired person.
But if you're trying to feed a family it's not the way to go.Last edited: Nov 22, 2010
