Any info on the Georgetown Kentucky terminal? I also keep getting calls from EP transportation.

I work for EP. Some places guarantee $750, or $700. We have health care available, no 401k. Some paid holidays. Only one week paid vacation. One week shut down in July unpaid. We are shutting down 12/24-1/1 unpaid. I thin 2 of the days are paid, Christmas and New Years. I don't know much about Georgetown. I know that where there is lots of bosses. Central dispatch handles all of the Toyota plants and they are fantastic to deal with.

You won't kill yourself working there, tractors are good. The trailers need work, drivers refuse to write them up to get them fixed. I get bald tires brought to me from there when I am on the Kentucky board. I write them up and send it back. They come back fixed.

Unpaid shutdowns kind of sucks.. but it's all no touch? I keep getting calls from an automated thing so I'd say they're desperate.

No touch. The hardest part is checking off the freight. If you are doing a pick up run you have to check off the freight. Runs change every month. You may or may not get to bid on runs. They aren't desperate in Nashville. Princeton IN, Bowling Green, and Georgetown? It may be different.

Maybe I should call them and ask what they're offering. ...

It couldn't hurt. Funny thing I read in the want ads is "we really cared about our drivers." Ask them about that. I am curious about that. I have been there since April 2012.

Lol. I'm sure they'd love that. Do you feel they care about their drivers?

I am treated well by the Ryder people in Nashville. I can't speak for any other locations. Ryder people are who you deal with most of the time. We used to have a 401K that they didn't match your contributions on. I never was in it. Their only client is Ryder. They have been in existence for a little over 2 years. It is hauling parts for Toyota. The checks are good.

Automotive is fickle. It can go bust in the wink of an eye.
