My application got accemted and they are sending me a letter in the mail. I found this out by talking to one of there recruiters on the phone. Also something good, there school is only $100 up front not the $500. That deal last till the end of the year. Plus I like there begining pay, $.32 a mile. I think that's pretty good for a newbie.![]()

Way to go! Overall I think Millis is a very good choice. Have talked to a couple of their drivers in Ft Worth and they seemed to like them. Just listen and learn and you will do great. Good luck.

Please keep us updated, I'd like to hear more about Millis. I too applied and got accepted, but ended changing my mind about them. I ended up signing up for class at a cdl mill here in GA instead.

Does anyone know if they will work with someone from Arizona? I'm almost sure they don't hire/run here, but would they pre-hire from here pending I moved to a suitable location at the time of starting school?
They sound pretty good to me, and I plan to move eastward anyway, but would not want to move out there and then get denied. -
I got my offer letter last week. It's true - they have removed the $500.00 up front cost but will add it too what they take out later. I am trying to get into the Sept 2nd class in Ohio. Went to take my physical and found out I have high blood pressure. I am now on one med and it dropped my pressure to well below what is needed to pass. Been studying my ### off for the CDL permit and hope to take the test Monday. So if the Doc signs off on my medical and I pass the CDL test - I'll be in heading to Ohio in a week or so.
Have been using some on-line testing to guide me and have passed all of those so should be able to pass the Georgia test. Just hate taking tests!
I'll let ya know how it goes this coming week! -
as far as getting a pre hire while living in arizona should not be a problem as long as you are going to move back east your best bet would be to call them and ask
-
I start September 2nd myself
the test's are not that bad,General knowledge,Air brakes and combination I have taken those plus school bus, passenger,Hazmat, double triples and tanker so does the three tests you need seem so bad now????
Not to mention the people at the local exam station are nice.

Are you going to Ohio also? Would be awesome to have someone there to study and practice with. -

Well, I got my $100 dollars paid today, and got confirmed for the September 15, class in GA. Can't wait to start and I'll let everyone know how it's going. It's only like 2 1/2 hours from my home so I'm gonna drive there. Any advise on what I need to bring to school with me?
