Measure a bushing that is installed. Curious how much the bushing compresses, how much clearance the indicator shows then versus uninstalled like in the pics.

it’s almost the same, I did have to drive these bushings in. They didn’t go in easy. I was thinking the tube may be worn. I personally think these are defective bushings. I really don’t know what to think honestly.

Now I’m stumped, this is a a Meritor bushing, kit 8042. It’s the same ID. Maybe I’m wrong, don’t remember them being this loose last time. I truly don’t know. I’m stumped.

Went through this with Meritor s cam bushings and they told me "it's in spec." Plain and simple engineering designed to sell more parts quicker. Meritor Kit 8042 had .020" larger plastic bushings than their cam. Endplay was .017" and was "within spec." Had dealer swap one set out and the next set had the same large play. Called Sirco and they sent a set out so I could measure it myself and there was significantly less play (I can update this liter with the exact measurement). I'd bet meritor or their supplier makes a large percentage of the s-cam bushings on the market, so many are going to be "in spec" but with too much play for a new bushing IMO.
