Today was a very good day for me. I arrived in Jamestown Saturday and got a reset in. I got unloaded first out of 4 trucks. Next I went to Endicott, NY, as I pulled up the shipping guy pointed to door 6. 30 minutes later, I got my paperwork, put my placards on and started heading to Ohio.
On the way to Ohio, I was told to pick up a load tomorrow in Mogadore,OH. I showed up and checked in. Waited 30 minutes, got a door, and was loaded and parked for the night in 45 minutes. Now I can beat Cleveland traffic and head towards Toledo for another stopdrvrtech77 and Metallica88 Thank this. -
I finally got my truck back after being out of it for a month. 2 days later, as I m dropping my trailer in Janesville since the delivery in Janesville got pushed back until Monday. As I dropped my trailer, the 30 second shutdown on Cascadia s kept shutting the truck down. I noticed the DEF needle was on empty when I still had 3/4 tank left the night before. I opened the hood and the coolant was at the low coolant mark
So, I topped off the coolant and revved it up to circulate the coolant and to try to get the DEF needle to register, it kept shutting off. Finally after I drove it around the yard, the check engine lights went away, but the MIL stayed lit, so I went to hook up to an empty, when I tried to back up, the transmission warning came on, and would not shift.
Five minutes later, Matt called me and told me that the truck kept sending him a bunch of emails from the truck with all of the faults. So I ended up bobtailing to Freightliner in De Forest
So as of yesterday, I m in a hotel waiting on truck. It appears that there s a major datalink issue with the truck and that they are trying to figure out what s wrong with it. I m almost to the point of just walking away and being done.
In the last month alone, that truck has been down over 2 weeks -

These are much nicer to drive, but I'm not looking forward to all the issues a brand new truck shouldn't have. I wonder if Peterbilts are having the same issues with their new trucks... -
My truck has had issues since I got it. First, the ABS sensor was damaged, suspension gauge didn t work, plus a few outlets did not work.
Then the TA in New Braunfels TX had to replace a bad battery, and whatever they did, my truck had to go to Freightliner and our shop because they messed up the computer and the Peoplenet. And then yesterdayLast edited: Oct 19, 2019

I did find out I can get two Passmarts a day for a total of an hour instead of 30 minutes. So that's kinda nice at the end of a longer day. Ok, glad to know it's not just this truck giving that warning. I am in some really tight areas that I have to pull forward and back a few times to position the trailer with no swing room in front. It was giving me anxiety everytime that warning kicked on. The radio freezes sometimes too, but if I shut the truck off with the one by the seat that you tricked me with, itll reset it.
The cruise fault kicks on randomly, then goes away pretty quickly, so until it becomes an issue, I'm not as irritated with it.
I knew you had issues with your truck, but didnt know it was that bad. I do have to say that I'm not impressed with TA service after bringing that day cab back to the yard. -
Sometimes the rain and wind will cause the adaptive cruise to act up. Thankfully, with new Detroit Assurance you can override the adaptive cruise unlike the OnGuard.
The only things I hated about the KWs were those PACCAR motors don t pull worth a flip. I never had a heavy load in either one that I drove, and they still would not pull. And I got tired of that NWS alarm every time you come upon someone. Also it would be nice if PACCAR came with something similar to Passmart.LDYTRUCKER Thanks this. -
Well 3.5 days later I finally got my truck back. It turned out to be a broken wire in the data link. I went to go get it and back at the hotel since they told me this morning that they had no answer on it yet, and it may be several hours to figure it out. $400.00 in breakdown pay and $350 in hotel reimbursements, I m ready to get out of the Midwest and ready to get home to transition from Summer clothes to winter clothes
LDYTRUCKER and drvrtech77 Thank this.
