Week 2 is in the books and week 3 began today. I’m getting used to doing the multiple pics and drops now, so that’s not an issue.
I haven’t really came across anything that would be an issue. I’m having fun and enjoy doing my job. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve been able to say that.
Anyway I’m hitting the rack and getting some shut eye.
Y’all be good now.

I haven t been up to too much lately. I think the last time I posted, I was helping Anniston terminal out with shuttling loads to New Flyer, and running a few Kronospan loads to GA. They were supposed to be drop and hook, but had to wait for them to unload a trailer. 3 hrs later, I headed back to Alabama and to the house.
The next morning I was supposed to run some more loads to GA, but I offered a load from Grenada, MS to Grand Forks which was a Grand total of 1700 miles because they paid me from GA to MS to ND.
Once I got to Grand Forks, I was given an 1800 mile run to Eastvale, CA for a Tuesday delivery. From Eastvale, I went over to Downey to pick up a Hazmat load to take to San Leandro which was 410 miles total. Delivered that, then went to Modesto to pick up wine heading back to Grand Forks. Once I got back to Grand Forks, got another load back to Eastvale for Wednesday morning. I m sitting in Parowan, UT doing a reset.
These loads from Grand Forks to Eastvale are nice loads, but with winter coming, some drivers don t like going out west, I don t mind it. I just wished these loads were heavier. They weigh around 15,000 and that was alot of fun yesterday in Montana with the wind and slick roads with an 11,000 lb load
I will keep you updated where I go after Eastvale. More than likely back up to NorCal then back to Grand Forks with a wine load, then put truck into shop for servicehotrod1653, drvrtech77, Vic Firth and 2 others Thank this. -
I’ve gotten to stretch my legs a bit here... I’ve done a couple Nebraska and back runs.
Ryan has definitely been keeping me busy, and I’m liking it.LDYTRUCKER Thanks this. -
Ok this sounds like s great company like maybe they would be up to my wife and I running 4000 Miles a week minimum out of Arizona any thoughts n yes before you ask we team but we super solo team 4000 miles we do n 5 days so 5000 n 7 is good but we only care to do 4000 to 4500

Last I heard they don't really have the miles for team runs just because of our main lanes. Of course they could have changed since I've gone local. Unless @bigkev1115 knows something about teams, that would for sure be a question for our recruiter Brian. He will be straight up with you.Lonesome and bigkev1115 Thank this.

I havent updated much. I am still here lol. They have me on a pretty sweet gig as a yard dog for one of our new contracts every morning. Then I will either run these contracted runs locally if we have some, or I will fill in where I'm needed. But its my job to make sure I have our trailers loaded and ready for our OTR and Regional drivers to drop and hook.
We are expanding this contract, and we even have flatbeds we are now incorporating into our Anniston, AL fleet. Pretty much dedicated runs, and more is in negotiations.
Hours are still good, I cut down to around 55 hours a week average since my house is almost ready, so I've had to deal with contractors and all sorts of stressful stuff when you develop land to put a house on it. They've been great down here in Anniston giving me the time I need to take off. Slated for move-in next week, yay!
Met @Snow Hater while he was down here at the terminal. Seeing lots of new faces!Lonesome, hotrod1653, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
After my delivery in Eastvale, I reloaded in Thermal and up to Richmond to a grocery warehouse. I was in shock. Checked in 2.5 hrs early, waited about 10 minutes then they called me to back into door 54. 30 minutes later, they brought the bills to the truck, no lumper fee, and I headed down to Modesto for my next pick up at 2pm today. I m currently at Ripon Flying J waiting until my appointment.
I had dinner at Denny s here last night. It was probably the best service I ve had at a truckstop Denny s. The waitress was very friendly, and I had everything that I had ordered in about 10 minutes. I gave a 33% tip because it was my way of showing and telling a waitress that does her job very well.
Once I reload today, I will be headed back to Grand Forks to drop load, and get truck serviced, and hopefully get an estimate and time frame of truck to go in body shop for the hood damage when some idiot took off after backing into me.Lonesome, LDYTRUCKER and dwells40 Thank this. -
Well like LDYTRUCKER said, we re not a true team company per se. There s not that many drop and hook accounts that we have, plus most of our deliveries are appointments too. However, I chance it and go in early and most times get unloaded early.
I would let Brian our recruiter know from the start what you re looking for and expect. It may work for you since you re not interested in running the typical team miles of 5000 to 6000 miles plus a week.
I run super solo myself.
Since you re from AZ, there s even greater chances to get 4000 miles per week and more. Some of our drivers don t like going out west in the winter. So there s always loads going out west and back to the Midwest that will easily get you 4000-5000 miles a weekLDYTRUCKER Thanks this. -
Most of our drivers don't like running south, with no snow. Ya know Atlanta. Lol.Lonesome Thanks this.

Just get through Atlanta before 5am and you ll be fine. They really would cry coming to L.A where traffic starts at 4am lol.LDYTRUCKER and drvrtech77 Thank this.
