Hello everyone. I’ve talked to BigKev a little bit. I don’t need to go into my whole story it’s been posted a couple times elsewhere, but curious if anyone here is doing or did do the ND/MN regional position? If so I’d love to ask some things Brian couldn’t fully answer for me. Thank you. S&S and Magnum are currently my top two options, Britton a slightly distant third.

What other questions do you have that Brian did not answer?

Just more or less specifics of this regional position. How often is it just a reset at home vs. 48 hours I know it’ll vary with the times but just a rough estimate. He also asked where my fiancé lived (Steinbach) and brought up its not exactly along the route but shouldn’t be an issue. I couldn’t tell if that meant I could take home time there I’d think that’s prevented but not sure. I guess the latter could be answered with another call. Just more or less was curious of people having first hand experience of the position. Would I still be able to “live out of the truck” for the first few months (if I can’t take home time up there) as I need some time to save up for an apartment in Grand Forks. Typing this out I should probably just give him another call/ask to be emailed an info packet. If anyone has first hand knowledge though that’d be nice to hear. Im glad I have time to decide because I’m really waffling between S&S and Magnum. That is if there’s a spot available when I’m done classes. Said everything is full right now with one person on waiting list.

I think the last time I posted, I delivered in Mechanicsville SuperValu (UNFI), and headed up to Fredericksburg then to Villa Rica Sam s DC. After I delivered in Villa Rica, I went home because Eastaboga load loaded the next day, and supposedly was to be preloaded by the driver that does that account.

After waiting 4 hours and no response, I called in, and load hasn t been loaded. Customer miscommunicated .Now live load. So after 6 hrs in Eastaboga, I was finally loaded, and went back to the house since it was already 7pm and parking would be scarce in TN that time of night.

I delivered in Clarion, PA, and deadheaded to Exton and waited 24 hrs to get loaded. Which I got paid layover and detention, and went to Grand Forks. I unloaded at the yard, loaded in Fargo, and delivered here in Anderson, SC a day early. It was nice going from -25 last few days to 70 degrees. Now since I only have 5 hrs to run tomorrow and Friday combined, I m doing a reset at the Pilot in Piedmont SC

Just seemed like some of the stuff he said the head of that regional division would have better answers to. Which I completely understand just since that guys not a recruiter (I don’t believe? Could be wrong) don’t know if I’d want to bother him when I can’t start until June and then don’t know if there will be an open spot. Figured I’d try my luck here first.

edit: did seem like they’d like to have me as not everyone has their passport and or wants to run Canada.

Reached out to Brian. He’s going to try to put together a little info packet for me and I’ll make a list of questions to call him back for answers on things not in it after that.

It's been going better than expected, to be honest. I'm enjoying the training portion as I'm staying busy and actually getting to drive. There's been variety, too I've gotten to take part in deliveries, bobtail to pick up equipment, perform some yard work, and work with a couple of different trainers. i even got to back into the loading dock in front of the building a couple of times yesterday. That was a pretty good challenge for someone with my experience level, but i nailed it twice blind side backing in from the road so I'm pretty happy. Aside from being happy about all of that, I'm getting paid as promised so I'm as excited and appreciative about this opportunity now as i was on day one. i hear you were on Anniston last week and i hate that i didn't get to meet you. I hope to get the opportunity soon.
