Injector $400, Harness $250. I would just change 1 injector. Since it ran good prior. Should be good to go. 2-3 yrs. when time for an inframe, a 6 pk. and new harness.

Assuming the injectors all have 700k on them. I would replace all 6 and inspect harness.

700 on reman injectors is good and at life's end.

Remember 850 is recommended bullgear service.

I thought it was 750, though I ran mine over 2 mil. I would never suggest it.

Good info here, my 12.7 just turn to 1.1 million, and the bull gear is about the only engine work thats been done. It now has a miss when idling, then it clear up, then miss again. Turn a/c on, it quits.

I'm Canadian so every dollar was 1.40 so it got 1 injector. Went to Engines Inc. In Northampton Pa, great guys, they are mainly Cummins shop I'd say but they have Detroit techs and can do Detroit warranty according to their web site. Justin worked on my truck and he was a great tech, did a great job troubleshooting, scoped the bore, sucked out the little bit of fuel that comes out of the rail, couldn't have been happier.
He actually saved my a s s big time. The wires from the alternator that go over the top in front of the valve cover, the main large cable was chafed half way thru the jacket by a bolt that comes thru from the front cover. He taped it up and covered it with a piece of hose and zip tied it in place. Made sure I seen it so I could address it myself at home.
That alone could have been a catastrophe down the road. Most "new" mechanics that would not even register with. He seemed to one of the good ones.

Good deal, running good again. I had one go bad on mine around 800k, replaced it with an independent rebuilders for $175, then another at 1.1 mil. replaced it with one from Detroit, for $400. Finally another at 1..3 mil. Then I overhauled it. Now it has 6 new Detroit reliabilts bought on Internet for $900. I was a bit Leary because of the price, but they were new, and so far been good. 6 new would be nice, but I’d rather save the money, get 6 at inframe. They typically for last a good 1 mil. miles.
