The bull gear is an interesting phenomenon. Seems like that's the number 1 thing that gets gaffed off on 60's.

It is strange, indeed. I called it a miss, but maybe more of a choppy or just rough idle...bump it up to 700 an it goes away. Fuel economy is still very good. I believe I'll change the fuel pressure regulator. See if this helps any.jamespmack Thanks this. -

It all depends. Some last a long time. My background was a fleet of them. 750-850 you need to be planning it. But ive seen more failure in a fleet or under maintenanced unit than a OO.

The life of injectors is over 1.5 million miles.
I have 1.7 miles in my freightliner and never changed the injectors.

Sounds like you the exception, not the rule. Do do you have more experience than "1.7 miles in your truck"? Maybe your wealth of information could help the OP fix his truck.
Oem useful life is around 750-1 million miles. Some more, some less.little cat 500 Thanks this.
